Finished the Wheel of Time books written solely by Robert Jordan, and will break from the series to reread the Hunger Games books in preparation for the release of Part One of Mockingjay. Generally liked the WoT books better than when I previously read them thanks in part to upping the font size on my Kindle App, but I still feel the series could have been several books shorter.

I beat Valkyria Chronicles 3 and the iOS version of Final Fantasy V today. Was generally impressed with both games.

Also working through Disgaea 4, where I'm in Episode 8; Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, where I'm around Day 190; and Tales of Xillia, where I'm a few hours in.

I hope we get this, with DQ not quite being dead in the West.

I tend to not care about dungeon design as long as there are ample save opportunities and automaps. For the latter to be absent has in my view been largely inexcusable since A Link to the Past had them.

Gimel Coins (which let you save anywhere in the third game) would have made the fourth and fifth games a lot better in my opinion, given the craptastic spacing of save points.

Okami's a little overrated but good nonetheless. I didn't care much for things such as unadjustable text speed, the mumbling instead of voice acting, and some of the puzzles such as those involving Blockhead that required eidetic memory, but it was definitely a pretty game.

While I myself believe that Secret of Mana is a tad overrated, I think Seiken 3 is even more so, since everything that made Mana fun, such as the weapon and magic leveling, is gone, battles are sluggish and clunky, and I think the class system is a poor substitute, since you won't know what abilities you'll be getting before changing to a particular class branch, and finding out how to get the second class branch might require a guide.

Finished the Spellsinger series. Definitely love fantasy with talking animals. On the third main book of the Wheel of Time series, and they're definitely much, much better than I remember. Maxing my Kindle App's font size really helps me absorb the story better in small bits.

Beat Wild Arms 5 this morning. Dean and Carol were very annoying, some of the puzzles were irritating, the placement of save points was awful, and the one-on-one boss fights were difficult without a guide, but I don't regret playing.

Still working on Valkyria Chronicles III, where I'm on Chapter 12 and have only lost one battle I had to win within six turns (but I beat it my second try with plenty turns to spare), and I'm on around Chapter 3 in Disgaea 4, where I've gone through the Item World for a bit of grinding.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited - Am enjoying it thus far and am about an hour in.

Valkyria Chronicles III: Unrecorded Chronicles Extra Edition - Am in Chapter 9 and have managed to get through missions without going overboard against the enemies.

Wild Arms 5 - Still doing the towers and have adopted a successful strategy against the bosses, in addition to finding enemies from which I can steal Full Revives.

Finished the Sword of Truth and Richard and Kahlan novels and largely enjoyed them. Currently working on the Spellsinger books by Alan Dean Foster, and will likely go through the Wheel of Time books again.

Episode I - Decent although battles suffer from annoying randomization of enemy boosts and often-drawn-out battles with unskippable skill animations.

Episode II - Thought it was an okay step in the right direction, but battles also tend to drag out.

Episode III - The best of the trilogy with a much quicker pace to combat.

I really hated, though, how they totally half-assed the turn order meter in combat, making it run out of icons and refilling frequently instead of showing you well ahead which ally/enemy will go when.

Beat Dragon Quest iOS, and don't regret purchasing/playing it.

Still working on Valkyria Chronicles III, am on Chapter 7, and haven't had too many problems.

Also Wild Arms 5, where I have to tackle the towers. I need to steal some Revive Fruit from enemies since I ran out before dying in a battle on the top of one of the towers, and have tried going to another to grind and try its own bosses.

I've been working on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series and am currently in between the main series and the Richard and Kahlan novels with The Law of Nines. I've had reading difficulties due to some mental issues, although I've found a solution where I up the font size on my iPad's Kindle app so I'm not tempted to skim through small text and miss things, and while it's really slowed my reading pace, I have been absorbing stories better than usual.
