so it seems Monster Hunter World is also for Xbox and PC, I don't think Capcom has done that before. Maybe they're trying to open up their markets? Maybe MS was thirsty for some monster hunting action with Scalebound dead.

I don't think there were any jrpgs in the MS conference, 1 if you count Black Desert. Sony showed some Ni no Kuni 2 stuff in the pre-show, but overall nothing too big in the RPG world.

I haveta say, the spiderman game looks very similar to the Batman Arkham series, the combat, the traversal ziplining. Might still get it day 1 though, not that much coming this year that I'm interested in.

I thought Microsoft conference was quite good actually, they managed to keep the sports and cars to a minimum.

The whole console launch exclusive vs console exclusive thing definitely seems like intentionally confusing terminology though. Apparently console launch exclusive just means timed exclusive. So the only actual exclusive games they showed were Forza, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay, Sea of Thieves, Lucky's Tale, Crackdown and Ori. Mind that's still quite a good stable, just the problem of having your library be the same on your console and pc is that if I have a gaming PC, why would I get an Xbox?

ok so we got the Xbox one X and the Xbox one S, yeup that won't confuse consumers at all. I do applaud the effort to make xbox original games compatible though.

We do see a lot of solid titles though, the DBZ game and Ori 2 look so good. Anthemn looks and kinda sounds like Destiny, or ME3 multiplayer but a full game.

I also appreciate everything more with Terry Crews

So, are we not doing an E3 thread?
Just EA conference so far but Anthem and A Way Out both look interesting. Anthem being done by actual Bioware, not Bioware Montreal. Though I wouldn't have minded a sequel to Andromeda. Curious to see if we're gonna get any dialogue wheels.
A Way Out is not what I expected next from the people that made Brothers. I hope it's like Shawshank Redemption prison escape or something similar, just not taking 20 years of digging a tunnel.

so uh, new bundle up. It's very......unique. Never heard of or played any of these games but they seem to all be visual novels. Frankly, I'm not sure if any human alive can handle all this anime.

ok gais, new humble bundle out. The game on bundlem honestly ymmv with this one as I'm sure many have played the games worth playing in this bundle.
There are the old school adventure games of Day of the Tentacle, Broken Sword 5 and Grim Fandango. The Stanley Parable and Her Story have garnered some fame so I'm sure many have experienced those 2 already.

The 10 dollar tier probably not worth it since if you care about borderlands, you probably played the presequel already. Also, it doesn't come with any of the dlc and the handsome jack collection is on sale for psn right now.

Humble Indie 18 has started.  Good bundle if you have not picked up some of these from previous humbles.  The $1 tier is definitely worth it, and is a steal for $1. If you are not sure about the 2nd tier you can just get the 1st tier, and lock the beat the average until the rest of the 2nd tier is revealed.   You can then decide if the 2nd tier is worth the cost to you. I will say that if you do get the 2nd tier picking up the 3rd tier is highly recommended at that point for Owlboy, which is a very good platformer .

Steamworld heist is fun but mechanically a bit too simple, I have high hopes for the sequel they're making. Windward looks fun though and tier one's pay whatever amount you want so it's hard to feel like you overpaid.

it was fun playing around with costume pieces and stuff in tekken 6, hopefully they'll have something like that in 7. Watched some of the injustice 2 story and man, they really improved the character models. They're able to convey actual human emotions now. Seriously though, the facial expression tech is amazing, which is strange since the animation for Injustice 1 was an abomination.

ok so I guess this is kinda humble bundle, but the upcoming humble monthly bundle has Stellaris that you can download now if you subscribe for a month. Stellaris is really good if you like Civ. It's a weird civ building in space game but more complicated and with a ton of sci fi references. It is long though, my first run took 12 hours before some zergs rushed and ended me. Also trying to get some multiplayer sessions started for it.

most of my time in Tekken 6 was just messing around in that adventure mode that you earned costume pieces in. I don't play Tekken too seriously but I will say that they generally give a good amount of single player content. Same with Netherrealms, the armor/cosmetics system in Injustice 2 seems like it has a lot of potential.

As for Rival Schools, Street Fighter 5 did have a new beach stage relatively recently with a bunch of Rival School characters in the background. And it is a popular theory that one of the Season 2 SF 5 characters is gonna be from Rival Schools.

Out of all the incoming games, I'm kinda worried about Marvel vs Capcom Infinite since it's coming out so soon, and I'm not a big fan of the art style so far. But the quality of that game literally doesn't matter. it's Marvel ,Marvel is big right now in popular culture=that game is going to sell gangbusters

Oh and E league for SF 5 is starting in about an hour if people care to watch it.

So, we are about to experience a deluge of games in this genre, Injustice 2(5/16), Tekken 7(6/2), Guilty Gear Rev2(5/26) and Marvel vs Capcom:Infinite(9/19). Thought I would make a general fighting games thread to gauge interest. We've been getting tournaments almost every weekend these days too and Evolution 2017 draws close.

A big one if people have an interest in seeing what high level Street Fighter 5 looks like is E-league as it's actually being broadcast on TBS though at the 10pm Eastern slot. The soonest one is tomorrow 5/12, starts on stream/the league site early in the afternoon and then the finals will be aired on TBS. If you watch through their site they have some promotions to earn some fight money too.

Anyways, if people have an interest in learning/jumping into the genre or just playing casuals, I probably will get most of these games. Just message me somewhere or post in this thread.
