I just read about Schrodingers Cat, and already have a few guesses as to what the ending could be, or at least what the haunted school's (or whatever) intentions are.

Schrodinger doesn't really have anything to do directly with the ending per se. More or less has to do with how a specific character can be there and the influence that character has on the plot. I'll write it below in spoiler text so you can read it in the future once you've beaten the game.

Code:
When playing through the 'problem' you might have with the plot comes from this element:

The entire event of Corpse Party takes place because Ayumi was reading Naho's blog and got the
idea from there to do the Sachiko Charm. However in the ending you learn that anyone who dies
inside of Heavenly Host is erased from reality. This leads to the question- How did anyone remember
Naho/how did her blog exist if anyone who dies inside is erased?

That's where Schrodinger's Cat theory comes into play. Because no one has escaped Heavenly Host
the proper way until now and due to the 'closed space' layering of dimensions which allows events to
literally 'have happened', 'be happening', and 'will happen' all at once; Naho is both dead and alive
at the same time the prologue events are happening. As such she doesn't 'vanish' from the outside world until someone has entered
and escaped the Heavenly Host to provide proof of her demise.

Ala the SC theory that the cat is both 'alive and dead' until someone opens the box.

This game should be AO or whatever.  No pornographic material will ever shock me like this game has.  I thought killing children was illegal in games... or was that just some idiotic cultural thing all along?

I'm on chapter 5, and I think there are many ways to fail getting the proper ending, which is kind of a turn-off.  Experiences like this need a nice clean end, so I can save my memory of it as a positive one.

The music is all modern and upbeat now, so I think the game knows that its out of scares, but it's still a captivating plot that needs to wind up... I don't wanna wander these halls anymore when I don't know if I'm gonna find something.  Thats the core of the WRPG/JRPG issue if you ask me... exploration with no guarantee sucks.

Oh, and that's period blood on the chicks skirt throughout the entire game, right?  AO.

It IS illegal in some parts of Europe (well, Germany at least) if done by the player themselves, and it could potentially cause an instant AO (or at least a nasty publicity incident) in modern higher end games, which is why Bethesda ended up shying from it in Fallout and Skyrim despite the fact Fallout 1 and 2 allowed it. In that case though it was probably for the best, people can mod that in on PC if they seriously want it for some reason, yet the fact it's not officially allowed means they can actually make the kids DO THINGS beyond being a nuisance like in the first two Fallout games.

As part of a game's story though? I don't think that's illegal anywhere (beyond normal violence laws) OR instant AO, and even if it deserves an AO they'd shy away purely because of how it's stigmatized by the industry and market. That's another problem altogether, and in this case they'd probably only want to "penalize" if it was actively a game about you killing anything. Unless something happens later in the story, in which case use the fucking spoiler tags.

No, it's nothing spoilerific.  It's just the fact that censorship only protects the eyes, not the mind.  This game is always heralded for its ability to nudge your imagination into certain directions, and really, that is much more graphic than any JPEG (bad example).

Is that a boot stomping a mud puddle, or is it your ex-girlfriend getting over you?  Isn't that horrible?

IMO; if you've been paying attention to the lessons the game taught you in Chapters 1-4 all of the Bad Ends are easier to avoid in Ch 5 than any other. (Don't be curious about things that are obviously evil, dodge the moving death incarnate, ect.; literally every bad end here has been telegraphed in text or in practice by prior bad ends.) There's only one exception because it's too easy to bypass the trigger if you're not being anal about backtracking the very second you need to.

The music is all modern and upbeat now, so I think the game knows that its out of scares, but it's still a captivating plot that needs to wind up... Chapter 5 does not have this problem. Wait until you finish it.

Code:
Semi-Spoilerish: 'Upbeat' music =/= out of scares. The basic construction of Japanese Horror is that
it builds you up only to break you down; repeatedly. The fact that you 'think' it's out of scares ala music cue
means the game is doing it's job. *evil laugh*

Oh, and that's period blood on the chicks skirt throughout the entire game, right?  AO.

Code:
I can't tell you where the 'exact' explanation is; but if you've been paying attention to Naho's dialog,
the misc. notes on the wall, extra chapters, ect. it's somewhere in there. If I recall specifically the uncontrollable
blood loss is a side effect of a spirit medium being possessed and/or a side effect of the darkening.

OK...just finished Chapter 4...loved chapters 1-3 but 4 seemed to bog down sometimes and I felt it was an awful lot of walking around waiting on something to click....

If I'm remembering my chapter content right that's probably because

Code:
it's the first chapter that forces you to seriously explore the second wing in detail. Every other
chapter up to this point has pretty much been within a 1st and 2nd floor limitation of the primary wing;
which is a lot less walking space compared to the second. As such you do a lot more overall walking and it
grinds the plot to a halt if you get turned around in a few spots. Not to mention some of the scene triggers
are specifically placed to pad the time limit. I.E; enter building, go left, climb three floors, go down three floors,
trigger scene just to the right of where you entered and be forced to go all the way back...again.

And was it just me or did this game have the weirdest red herring ever? It wasn't even plot important it was just...there. As early as the first scene after you gain control of your character in Chapter 1 you can investigate one of the buckets outside of the starter class room and it mentions it having a viscous yellow fluid that the few character who can inspect it theorize it might be urine. Then once you team up with Yuka in later Chapters the 'Little girl, weak bladder' element gets thrown in and you're constantly reminded every other scene she needs to go while the universe says 'Thou shalt not find a toilet'. *rolls eyes* You'd think with the whole multi-dimension 'any event can happen in any order' that somehow that earlier bucket quip would've been an indicator of Yuka having done her business and thus established a point in time for the plot but nope; it was just some random bucket of pee.

I know it isn't story critical or anything; I just find it weird for the game to go out of its way to set that up and then completely pass it over. If nothing else it was constantly bugging me because I expected the game to use it as a point of order to say something like 'The events of Chapter 1 take place near the end of the game rather than at the beginning', but nope; nothing important.

OK..some advice please...
Code:
I finished Chapter 5 with everyone ending up dead, and I realize it's considered a wrong end or bad ending but to be honest I kinda liked the ending that way, lol, fit the game well I thought. However, I don't know any other endings, would you advise loading Chapter 5 again and trying for a different ending?

OK..."re-finished it"...I'm not sure I didn't like the previous bad ending i got better, lol, but typically I need a day or so to digest a completed game...either way it was certainly hours of fun.
