So, many of us here are hockey fans - we started up a staff league, but we've only got six members, so we're extending it to you, our favorite board members.  It's a one-year roto league with modified rules.

Instead of 2 LW slots and 2 RW slots, there are just 4 W slots.

2 Centers
4 Wingers
4 Defensemen
2 Goalies
4 Bench Spots
1 Injured Reserve Spot

I've currently got a live draft set up for September 24 at 2PM Central, but we'll change that once everyone weighs in and we can come up with a time.  If you can't make the final time, set up an autodraft list.

This is a Rotisserie league with scoring in 8 skater categories and 4 goaltending categories:

Forwards/Defensemen Stat Categories:   Goals (G), Assists (A), Plus/Minus (+/-), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Powerplay Points (PPP), Shots on Goal (SOG), Hits (HIT), Blocks (BLK)
Goaltenders Stat Categories:   Wins (W), Goals Against Average (GAA), Save Percentage (SV%), Shutouts (SHO)

Hits/blocks make it a little more fair for newbies (easier for them to draft good defensemen) and a little different for veterans - you don't just draft Lubo, Byfuglien, and Yandle then call it a day.  This also makes it so that Goaltending is not quite as important as it is in a standard league, which only has 6 skater stats and 4 goalie stats.

YAY, join in everyone! I can't say that some of us won't kick your ass, but it's worth it for bragging rights.  BRING IT.

"To be a star, you must shine your own light, follow your own path, and don't worry about the darkness, for that is when the stars shine brightest."
