I beat it last night.  The ending theme is so fucking terrible.  It's "Save This World" terrible.

Some of the effects used in the game are pretty crazy.  Visually the game was impressive as hell, but I still think the first game had the best campaign.  The second and third games try to get into telling a bigger story and it just falls flat, the same way the second and third Pirates of the Caribbean movies did.  The character interaction in the first game just felt so much better.  They started shoving in more characters in the second and third games and it ends up suffering from Spiderman 3 syndrome... too many characters you don't give a shit about.

5 of us busted out some Horde mode last night and made it to Wave 50 on the map Checkout...

Code:
All our shit was blown when 2 Brumaks appeared on the other side of the map (which is tiny).  None of us had really looked into the new Horde mode so not one of us expected this.

Screams of joy and fear was had by all.  Disgustingly good fun.

I never really got into the MP for Gears 1 and 2 but 3 has me hooked. I placed out of Casual matchmaking though, so now everyone is better than me :(

Still haven't played through the SP/co-op campaign yet, since I can't find a time where the three friends I'm going to play it with are free.
