I just saw one of his books in the bookstore, it was just translated to my mother language, and I would like to hear some thoughts on him; which type of fantasy he writes? Are there Elves, magic, technology or just plain humans on high adventure?
I ask that because, last time I bought a book of one fantasy writter just because I saw it translated in the bookstore I was severely disappointed - Terry Brooks, I simply did not like it.
I do like Salvatore stuff.

I liked Goodkind just fine...until his fifth book, "Faith of the Fallen", when he trys to pull an Ayn Rynd on his readers.  Especially the end:  I distinctly remember rolling my eyes at that shit.  I've never touched a book of his since.
