Last night's episode was one of the best yet. Good zombie action, and I'm glad Rick is finally coming back into focus as the leader. The Lori/Andrea/Beth/Maggie storyline was okay, but the real highlight was was the Shane/Rick story.

This season so far has been totally kick ass. Way better than most of last season. They've really stepped up their game. I still can't stand Lori, though. Heck, she's too ugly and stupid for 2 guys to be fighting over.

I'm still on board with Shane for the most part and Rick is still a knob. No way in hell I would have saved that kid. He would have gotten a bullet to the face as a mercy.  Shane is a tad delusional for sure though but I agree with his zero tolerance policies.  Also, they turned one of my favorites, Glen, into a douchebag. "Oh you can't love me because you'll end up getting hurt when/if I die'.  Give me a fuckin' break..what an ass. Hoping to see some development with Darryl soon too. Only a couple left until it's over for anther six months or so:(

Holy shit last night's episode was bad. Some really bad lines made worse by really bad acting. The whole thing felt pretty forced, and really, nothing got accomplished.

It definitely was the worst of the season so far. I'm not sure if I'd call it bad, though.
They desperately need to get rid of that kid, though. I'm talking about Carl or whatever his name is. He's a terrible actor for starters. Then

He just traipses off into the forest without Mom or Dad wondering where he went? WTF? In this world there would be very stiff rules. NO ONE goes off alone. Especially a kid. And then he's so friggin' stupid as to fuck around with a zombie?! Then he doesn't tell anyone about it?! Then. THEN. Dale goes off ALONE, for no apparent reason, and gets attacked. Just when he started not being a horrible character, too.
I DID like the discussion part about Randall. Very real world. It's amazing what people are OK with as long as they don't have to see it or deal with it.

Right. The whole episode felt like some hackneyed morality play where none of the characters have sensible motivations for creating the problems they did.

It's annoying, because when the show is good, it's great. Episodes like this make you wonder if it was even written by the same team.

No more Shane?! I really can't believe Rick did that. Not that it wasn't inevitable, but DAMN. THEN we have people dying and turning into zombies without ever being bitten or scratched! What is GOING ON?!

Yeah, last night's was really good. Like I said, two different groups of writers. I have questions that, hopefully, don't have really dumb answers.

I really enjoyed last Sunday's episode, and there two things I noticed, 1 good and 1 bad.

The good thing I noticed was how Dale's death brought everyone together. In the beginning you see them working together and they finally look like they are behaving as a cohesive group. Shane was really the odd man out on that one, and we all know how THAT ended.

The bad thing is Shane's death. Don't get me wrong, I was ready for Shane to shuffle off this mortal coil half a season ago, but he was kinda built up to be a major character for both the show and Rick. Because of this, when he died, we don't exactly get the emotional closure he was due, because almost immediately after Carl shoots him, we cut to the forest where there's a herd of zombies coming. There isn't really any time to give Shane's death any weight.

R.I.P. Shane's perpetual grimace.

Seriously, the one thing that made me gasp and redeemed the whole season was the last scene with Andrea.

Some hooded person shows up dragging along a couple of armless men(I think?) and saves(I thunk?) Andrea. What the hell is going ON?! Then they show some prison on the horizon. I can only imagine what's going to go down in there. Awesome.
