Demo is out. I'm downloading now.
Has anyone tried it yet or interested? It warms my hart to see a nice old school platformer being released

Waiting for reviews. It looks promising, but I'm being cautious.

I've never played one either and my only real memory of Rayman is looking at it in GameFan when it first came out.
That magazine was crazy with awesome screen shots and full page color.

I am a HUGE Rayman fan. Rayman 2 is one of my all time favourite games. I will be getting it, but I'm hesitant about it. When it comes to the Rayman franchise, Ubisoft has produced disappointment after disappointment for the last decade. Stupid Raving Rabbids.

I must confess that I've never played a Rayman game before, but this looks seriously good.
Play the original Rayman. Prepare to die repeatedly. Me and a friend played through the whole game, even when we used the 99 lives cheat, we still had to re-use it because we died that many times.

One of the things I remember from my childhood was Rayman 2, such an awesome game. Played it a bunch of times too.
After Rayman 3 (which I didn't play) the series just started with the Rabbits games and until then that I haven't been insterested in Rayman. Origins looks pretty fun but I'm short of money right now.
Maybe I buy it next year when is cheaper.

Playing the demo... amazing color and animation. The music is really good, and kinda cute.
The tunes in the swimming level are fantastic in a cute way I never thought I'd like

I was interested in this until I heard it was basically like New Super Mario Bros - a multiplayer platformer. I suck at platformers enough that I don't need someone else dying on me as well.
On a side note - is Rayman 3 any good?

It's fairly good. For me, it was nowhere near as good (or what I was expecting) after playing Rayman 2. If you haven't played 2 or, at least, don't expect something really similar to it, you'd probably really enjoy 3.

Nintendo Power apparently gave it a 9.5 as well, if you trust them.
I'm certainly interested; I'm glad at least some of these revived platformers haven't suffered the fate of Rocket Knight and Spyro.
