Note: I'm pretty sure both systems have to register. Not one system with another person getting a confirm message or anything. So I'd recommend everyone just add everyone else, without waiting on others to add you or anything.

Ok, so uh...

In Mario Kart DS, how do you get other people's friend codes after/before a race and how do you add other people's friend codes? I've done plenty of online races and I still haven't seen or found anything where I can enter in another person's code.

Transferring of Friend Codes in game is pretty much disabled. Why? Security reasons. Who really wants some random asshole to walk into your Animal Crossing town and raid all of your fruit?
