Metal Gear Solid: Rising resurfaces as a PlatinumGames title

Do I am seeing a mix between Metal Gear and Vanquish here? Because it's beatiful. *screams like a little girl*

That's exactly what I thought. It's Metal Gear in name only. Totally smacks of Vanquish. With some Ninja Gaiden and Bayonetta mixed in.

Looks pretty, but I'm scared. All pretty things have gross undersides. I will say one thing, i did like the last line of the trailer, it made me lol.

I almost want a Wii version so I can cannibal-cooking-mama the whole game. :D

This might be the only metal gear I play through since the psx days.

Checklist of awesome:

swords
slice and dice action
generically awesome japanese metal music
cheesy dialog
mechs

As a gamer I should like all the metal gears... but I don't know. I don't think I liked the way they controlled or something.

I kind of liked the concept trailer more. It seemed a lot slower paced, more tactical, and more "Metal Gear" if that makes any sense.

Bumping this for a bit of news that is not really news but at the same time it is.

Last week in the latest Kojima Productions Report (session 159 to be specific) was said that there might be something new to show about MGR: R at E3. And that's it. GET HYPE!

You know, outside of like 3 boss battles in the entire series there's not many fast moments in those games. DMC is more of a Beat 'em up than Hack and slash.

Dunno what Rising is going to end up being but it just looks like Vanquish to me so far.

That was yucky violent.

I think the gameplay trailer was awesome though. When he picked that giant boss up by the sword and flung it, I actually made a sound with my mouth, out loud. It was curse words.
