The Japanese gaming site 4Gamer is the other place that has this "news" too (link), and I say "news" because it was already known since last year at the 25th anniversary event of Metal Gear that Sunny was going to be on MGR.

They for some reason let her as a secret character at the event but it was pretty obvious who she was. But yeah, I totally get you are saying Eusis.

To be fair, the Sunny news was literally *all* over the place. I don't actively seek out MGRR stuff even though I get Konami press releases, but I even ran into the Sunny thing a bunch of times.

I was probably just somewhat lucky in avoiding it for awhile, and admittedly I'd be in it for the amazing action. After MGS4 I don't really care too much about MGS's story anymore, though I do prefer to avoid spoilers just in case.

Yeah, I've tried not to watch too many trailers, sticking to gameplay ones only when they really interest me (high-frequency blades one). They've got a TON of videos lately too.

I'm going on with not-high expectations for the story. Like, at all. I can't be disappointed that way, right? :p

I liked DmC more.

MGS4's story was perfectly fine after how MGS2 ended up being.

I liked DmC more.

Good for you? (・_・ヾ

I'm mostly just playing MGS4 to see why Raiden is half metal.

And for Old Snake.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Launch Events -- Source: PlatinumGames Blog

Is a retcon from MGS2 I think.

Also, is it possible the erase the double post I did? Doesn't matter much but I fucked up thinking I was editing my previous post. :/

No worries - post deleted.

I thought a bunch of fucked up shit happened to Raiden and he basically had to be rebuilt as a cyborg. Either way MGS4 will tell me.

I would honestly go to that launch event were i closer. I really like MGRR's music so far.

I wonder why the 360 version of the DLC isn't coming here? Ah well. I did end up trying the demo on both systems, and settled on PS3. while I prefer the 360 controller, it looks better on PS3... And MG games (save Twin Snakes) have always been PlayStation to me.

I've played the first 6 hours or so of this, and, considering I'm not a huge fan of this kind of game, I really enjoyed it. It had some pretty major difficulty spikes early on, but then I also sucked at it and ended up turning the difficulty down :P

The story didn't seem terribly strong, but it was heating up a bit just as I got kicked off, so I'm hoping it improves.

I agree. It felt a lot more inspired and less perfunctory. Still, don't let me rain on anyone's parade here! Sometimes you just have to slice up a watermelon/villainous cur until your console breaks under the weight of all the physics calculations.

At least you get it! Especially when you do it while sliding holy shit I didn't know I could do that in the demo.
