Hey all, Just wondering if anyone else watched this show and thought it rocked.
For anyone who hasn't heard of it, it was a show that was on in the 90s that took old really bad B movies and had 3 guys(well 1 guy and 2 robots.) sit in a theater and make fun at it. I know that sounds kinda lame in premise, but it was actually pretty funny. The jokes they made could be very witty.
Yeah, you can also watch a lot of the episodes on youtube now. I reccomend them. Here's a sample short I thought was great.

I'm a casual Mistie. My favorite has to be Space Mutiny ("Big McLargeHuge!") Manos- The Hands of Fate is classic as well.
The ones I've seen have mostly been Mike era MST3K rather than Joel era.
My housemate's definitely a mistie.

I love MST3K. The Gamara movies were my personal favorite.

"Pu..ma Man...he flies like a moron!"
MST was a staple of my childhood.
I was deeply saddened when it was canceled...both times, in fact.
While it did have it's moments, the show kinda went downhill when it moved to Sci-Fi. It just wasn't the same.

I /LOVE/ MST3K.
My personal favorites are Teenage Strangler ("Yipes Stripes!") and Mr. B. Natural ("A clarinet is not a clarinet! It's a happy SMILE!!")
In fact, you can see Mr. B here:

I mostly just watched it on sci-fi in it's last year or two. I rented a few from the Joel period though, and Manos was damn funny.

what a horrible movie huh(manos). It was made by a fertilizer salesperson, on a 16,000 dollar budget, apparently on a bet.

It was a fun show that was pre-maturely canceled. I remember it first coming on around the same time when TV's "The Simpsons" originally premiered on the air. Although, factually speaking, didn't MST3K in reality start out as a cable-access show of some sorts?
The same could've been said for jM Productions video game TV show, "Starcade", which was most recently broadcast on the then-fledgling G4 network. Starcade, in its' earliest days, also started out in cable access form with a different host, IIRC.
