I've been DYING to play this game.... only tales game I haven't played due to the fact that its a 360 release and that is the only system I've never really felt compelled to pick up.... truth be told though, now that they are only 130 buck used at Gamestop, I may buy it just for this title alone....

May as well, that's the price point where just getting 1-3 games you wanted is enough reason, especially since you might want to give Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey a shot too.

Excellent point, thanks for the advice my friend! I haven't looked into those yet and it could be just enough to tip the scale as they say :)

I think its the best tales game this generation, and one of the top 10 Jrpgs too

I more or less agree, except for the story that is like watching ripe and pretty fruit getting old, poor tasting, and mushy and formless.
The way the story shifts around is messy at best. The amazing cast really hold whatever plot beautifully though.

The Battle system is pretty fun, nothing like getting ridiculous combos and "BLAH BLAH BLAH" (Though I do love my grandiose long winded spell casting)
The story is, a tales story, so when you have too much time between play you get lost in the convolution of it all.
Your best bet is to force your way through the story until you hit a new plot point and then you will be provided enough relevant information to enjoy the story for what it is. Unless say, you stopped play 5 hours before the end.

amazing cast? lawl! what made it amazing because i found all the characters boring as hell. Tear grants alone is better than any character i encountered in vesperia and i stopped playing when my party was around lvl 25-30.

Too bad she was a sociopath, as was everyone else in Abyss.

Jade was the best character ever. Sociopathic AND charismatic? Awesome.

This alone makes me want to finish the game someday. Guess the 3DS version will be an excuse for that.
