Dennis (TurnBasedDude) paid for half of my Zelda 3DS as a Christmas gift, and I'm apparently getting... something or other from my girlfriend, she refuses to tell me what.

Haven't celebrated Christmas in years. Nice change of pace.

I asked for:

Skyrim
4 6L6 tubes for my guitar amp
Ocarina
Guitar Strap
Wallet
Microsoft Points
Kinect
Wacom Tablet
A Dance of Dragons
The Crippled God
Star Wars Blu-Ray

And a few other things,. Really I expect one or two of those things and if I get none I won't be sad. I bought my girlfriend a few board games, some yoga pants, a new toaster, a nice necklace, a few books and a movie and I might get her an ipad nano.I think that's it.

Made a deal with everyone to not exchange gifts this year. I just don't see the point of asking someone to buy me something, and in exchange I get them something as well. I'll just by it myself and it's the same thing. I'm saving a lot of money this year :)

Against all odds, my wife and I stumbled across one of these Portal 2 turrets at a store today.  And I mean ALL odds - as far as I know, they're only sold online, and they're out of stock at ThinkGeek until at least 2/6.  (There's a store near us that sells stuff that got lost in shipping - we find all kinds of crazy crap like this there.)

My brother wrote me a rock song.  Well, he wrote me a rock song written in a melody of how I hear rock song.  It's horrible sounding, with double kick, lots of the same note, and an occasional flute.... and amazing all for it. x)

All I want is Uncharted 3 and maybe an e-reader so I don't have to bring an ass-load of books with me if I go away somewhere.

I was given an early present of an ad-supported Kindle Touch, and I really like it.  You only see the ads when you're not reading a book, so they don't intrude on the reading experience.  I love books, and I have a lot of them that I haven't read yet, so I'm not converting to only reading things on it, but I do really like it.  I use it on the road a lot, and I appreciate the "text to speech" feature while I'm driving.  It's not the same as having a real audiobook, but it's cool to be able to keep "reading" while I drive.

What I really want is either an acoustic guitar or a new jib snowboard, but I think those are too expensive so I'm just asking for a new external hard-drive, a new keyboard and mouse, and a new mousepad, and a couple of those air canisters so I can clean out this POS.

Stumbled across this set of Doctor Who figures - one of every Doctor - got it for my wife.  She won't see this, so I feel like I can post it before she opens her presents. :)
