So, I found out today that a few weeks ago, when my wife was saying she didn't know what to do for me for Christmas, and I said "well, you could make me this sweater," she was already working on making me a sweater.  She's super fast, so she almost got them both done in time, but her mom's car got stolen, so she had to help out.  Honestly, I kind of feel like a jerk, but she says it's cool, and she didn't mind at all.

The car actually turned up a couple of days ago.  The radio and the exhaust are gone, and the tires and headlights have been replaced with crappy ones.  So it's still driveable, but they're waiting to use it until the insurance dude checks it out.  Her dad and brother are both mechanics, so it'll be cool, but it was still annoying.

The only thing I know for a fact that I'm getting is an electric blanket...which is great because it's been in the 20's here at night. That may not sound like much to you, but in California it might as well be the North Pole.

Everything else is a mystery. :)

Do you even have a heating system in your house?  My buddy who lives in Burbank doesn't.  He'd love an electric blanket.

I do, but the problem is the insulation is really shitty. It either gets really cold or heats up all the time. I turn down the heater to save money, but in turn I get really cold. Sigh...to have my own house with half decent insulation!

I did get my blanket today, along with a tea kettle with a cat on it, several pieces of clothes, some aewsome PJs, and pretty earrings. My mom got stuff from me and she liked it. Good Christmas all around!

Tooks, that's shitty about her mom's car :( I hope insurance covers that.

As for what else I got... well, I'm looking at all this chocolate around me and just the sight of it makes me want to sugar crash. I got a million more gift cards, a blanket, money and some Body Shop stuff. One of the chocolates is a 1/2 pound Reese peanut butter cup. Also CoD4 360. I have the PS3 version but it doesn't have trophies, so now I can be an achievement whore on my favourite game in the series.

No clothes this year besides a scarf. Which I'm okay with because people rarely know how to pick out clothes for me. I like to do that for myself on Boxing Day.

Finally all done after Christmas round three at my sister-in-laws house.

All tallied up:
My amazing wife got me:
Ipod Nano 8gb - This will be quite the upgrade after working with a 1gb shuffle for a couple years.
This beautiful copper praying mantis for my garden. It's stunning.
a hanging clay leaf sculpture thing, also for the garden.
Skyward Sword!
The Magic of Reality by Richard Dawkins
Mass Effect 2 t-shirt
others:
2 beautiful copper pots for my garden from my Aunt
(hint: I collect copper garden things)
A nice sweatshirt from my Father-in-law
new wine glasses from my sister-in-law
misc. candy and stocking stuffers

Looking forward to chilling and doing a whole lot of nothing tomorrow, and all week long. No work until Jan. 3rd.
Hope everyone had a fine holiday.

haha. Yeah, I will post them up on tumblr. The Mantis is too cool, and had to cost a pretty penny. My wife loves me.
The shirt shows male Shepard in the forefront, with Miranda and Thane in the background. I also had some of the Bioware store items on my list like a hoodie and sweatshirt. They seem to constantly be selling out of the things I want.

Yeah, as far as I know, there'll be no problem there.  And my brother in law can get her cheap parts too, and he'll do the labor for free.  It's awesome having mechanics in the family, as long as you make sure to properly appreciate their help. :)

It seems that Twitter is blowing up with kids having a fit about not getting a new iPhone.

I got three pair of socks that were several sizes too small.
