Some of you might remember Senran Kagura a side-scrolling action game for the 3DS that it's big selling point was the concept of boobs in 3D when it was announced, or Conception: Please Deliver My Child!! for the PSP in where the protagonist have to convice one of twelve girl to make babies with to save the world from doom, or Akiba's Trip also for the PSP that was about stripping vampire-like creatures off their clothes to expose their bodies to the sunlight to defeat them in Akihabara.

Well now we have this, and according to andriasang the premise of the game goes like this:

"You play as a high school student named Kouhei. The game is split into two worlds, the "sealed room world" and the real world.

In the real world, Kouhei is a student who has the hots for three girls at his school. There's Kasumi Akishino, a shy girl who's in Kouhei's class. There's Tsubasa Itou, the most popular girl at school, who's said to have turned down over 100 boys. And there's Kokoro Tougo, Kouhei's childhood friend and two years his junior. Although Kouhei considers Kokoro to be like a little sister, he's recently started taking interest in her.

The sealed room world is a place that exists in Kouhei's dreams. He for some reason appears as a fairy in these dreams. As you might have guessed, the girls in the dream world are the same as the girls in the real world.

The girls find themselves locked away in the sealed room, and you must help them find key fragments in order to open the lock. This involves giving textual hints to the girl. For example, you can write the word "vacuum cleaner" to make the girl pick up a vacuum cleaner and use it to aid in escaping. If the girl wants to grab a carton of milk from up on a shelf out of her reach, you can enter "chair" and she'll climb up on a chair.

Because you're a fairy, you can fly around the room using the slide pad. You can use this to easily scan the environment, or you can get in for some closeups of the girls. You can control the view via the gyro sensor and use buttons to zoom in and out.

The real and dream worlds are linked up. The girls may reveal some information to you as a fairy, including their feelings for Kouhei, which you can use to help with your attempts at getting close to the girls in the real world."

So that's the game. It doesn't sound particulary exciting but is certainly a curiosity that I'm pretty sure we will never see over here because we are too busy playing Mario Kart 7.

If you are interested in knowing more about it go here to read more articles and I'll leave the official website here too because why not. Now go ahead and make jokes about this and discuss that this is why Japanese games aren't as good as they were before "in your time" you old fart.

Man, those 3DS games look good.  Senran Kagura didn't look like it needed boobs to be fun, but it has them anyway!

Sealed Room also looks good, like Scribblenauts on viagra.

Someone needs to port these to NA 3DSes... screw translating and localizing, just slap it onto a NA card and take my money.

I'll be honest, when I first saw screens of Senran Kagura I thought "Oh boy, a stupid fan service game", but when I saw game play videos I quickly changed my mind. It actually looked like a genuinely fun, and well put together game. I had high hopes that XSeed's game announcement was Senran Kagura, but alas, it wasn't.

For anyone that has a 3DS you can look at 3D screenshots for If I Was In A Sealed Room right here http://www.3ds-screenshot.com/

For better or worse, the Japanese sure are more creative than the US.

EDIT: The youngest [?] one has a stupid ass hair clip... it's not clipping any hair to the side.

Wait a minute, I just realized the true grammar of the name. It's a lot  better than i as thinking:

"If I were in a sealed room with a girl I'd probably XXX" - where XXx was a euphamism for "fuck"

Not

"If I were in a sealed room with a girl, I'd probably XXX" - where the 3 Xs are variables

Still, creepy game, but not quite as blatant as I thought

Ok, without reading anything except the Subject, I was thinking Oh god, a game based off Leonard Lake and Charles Ng? But no, instead i'm also thinking Day 1. The Japanese rock hard in my books
