They were prepping one of his son's but I think there was some controversy over which one as many deemed the oldest unfit to rule.

Depends who you ask. There are no real 'good' or 'bad' governments in the world. All regimes act in their best self interest.

Corrupt/crap government is a deep-ass root. I don't think the death of one bad seed will be the end of the shit in Korea.
Whatever, I'll just leave

Pretty much North Korea and Somalia are tied for being the worse countries in the world. NK for being an oppressive dictatorship were even if you're somewhat related to someone who is questioning the government you were taken to a reeducation camp, and there was mass fmaine which Kimmy refused to open the borders. Somalia on the other hand has had no government since 2004 I think. Total opposites but both are hell.

Regardless of what anyone says, being "happy" that Kim Jong-il is dead is silly as hell. I'd also agree with Thoren. Bad as things are in NK, the US's history of foreign relations, and even things in this country are just as bad, and perhaps in many ways worse, than the NK regime. That isn't to make light of what is happening in NK, but I think so many people approach the NK/SK issue with the wrong mentality.

Why are you taking him seriously? XD
Anyway, I hope good comes out of his death, and the world can be a little more at peace.

ya, i don't see peace being the result when a stupid looking fat kid with a small dick ascends to power and probably wants to prove himself.
but hey, maybe, i guess

I'm no fan with the direction the U.S. government has gone the last few years but I'd take it over NK any day of the year.
What mentality is wrong? I don't think it's wrong to want NK to consider its citizens more, right now it's all about the regime and those in power.

Anyway, it's a dread that nobody knows the name for, like those little square plastic gizmos that close your bread bags. I don't know the name for those either."
