So uh, on a less stupid note, I see a lot of anticipated game lists(even RPGFan's :( ) leaving Growlanser IV in the cold.

I have a very bad feeling we're on the verge of another Sakura Wars V debacle here(great game, no one buys it).

How can we stop this before it happens? I'm open to suggestions.

I would venture a guess that many people do not know what Growlanser is, myself included.  They (me) probably don't know what's good or bad about the series and why they should buy it. All I know is that it exists and that I don't like the art.  Other than random gameplay videos that I've seen that didn't grab me, that's about the extent of my knowledge.

I know that the guy that did the art for Growlanser also does hentai/ecchi stuff. I didn't even knew about Growlanser until in like 2008 or '09 If I remember correctly, and I guess in those days Growlanser V was already on the PS2 and it was not a success like I read years later of the game release.

People (at least in the Internet) knows about this series because of their fans, the art made by Satoshi Urushihara or while watching a video on YouTube you see a thumbnail of one of the female characters showing (what it seems) some of her private parts.

That said, I do like the art style. Is so '90s.

That hentai he did was alright...............

Not his best ecchi work. He only did 1 hentai ova.

All you need to know about growl. is that its an incredible series of tactical rpgs.

In terms of quality usually the order goes

4>3>1>5>6>2

The art style is in the sprite vein. It is decidedly old school but that is what is so great about it.

The characters are amazing, and each is almost a contained entry like FF.

Its gameplay is similar to arc the lad and phantom brave

I hope the fact that in japan that they even remade 2 games this gen, might mean a brand new entry could be coming

Beyond the stories(which are really good), the main appeal is the SRPG gameplay. The battles are very tough, and require you to put a lot of thought into your actions, especially if you want to earn a mission complete.

I realize this might be a negative for some, but huge positive for me. Besides, if you don't want to stress yourself out, just go for a Clear or Failure(blech).
