I've been neglecting to do my schoolwork, and have been playing a lot of Valkyrie Profile 2 lately.

Just got into Chapter 5 after 32 hours, and am utterly pissed that
Code:
half of my main party got beamed up into Valhalla. Now I'm stuck with Alicia, Rufus, and three half ass Einherjars. And the former two were the weakest of my main party! Ugh!

I want my team back, damnit...

Other than that, this game is stupendous. And it's really challenging, too. I hope the rest of the bosses give me a run for my money like the last two have.

Earlier today, I was in a Nintendo Tour for one night early which was also half concert with several rock groups (whom I don't know) playing. There werent many games on display, but i still had a great time. Best of all, the Wii was playable but due to crazy lines (no surprise) I only managed to play 2 waiting in 15-30 minute lines.

Wii Boxing-

I personally just plain loved it. Very active and intense fun with intuitive controls. Defanitely reminds me of Punch Out in terms of the way its viewed, and so to make more people play, they vs. each other (which is more fun anyhow). Most winded up winning by decisions. I think I have gone overboard as I wind up winning in 1 round KO lol. I would just love to have the game alone, and this being bundled along with four other sports games is awesome.

WarioWare Smooth Moves-

I am a warioware who mastered every mini game on all the handhelds (by getting the high scores or whatever) so of course I had to play this. Very quirky fun with great use of the wiimote . Some usage was strange such as putting it by my head for squats or putting it by my waist for jumprope. Aside from RPG's and platformers, I have a fondness for quirky games so it won me over even more.

Playing it a bit for myself and watching others play it close by. It is very easy to say the Wii is defanitely not for everyone. WarioWare and especially Wii Boxing (which I might have gone a bit too intense) can defanitely wear you out, but it is something different and I can see it making me like certain genres more. Would like to play fps games and fighters more on it. As for graphics, no surprise it's not as good as 360 and ps3, but it works for the style of the games. My bad on the rant :P

Ps: If you are really curious on the Nintendo Fusion Tour check out www.nintendofusiontour.com to see if it's nearby your area later on. I had a good time on it.

Slimeria fucking rules. I am working on killing the first boss having all the gem things filled up. I can do 4, and each run gets better. I really like how I can keep fighting the bosses over again. Makes the power-leveling part easy I guess. I have got a ton of stuff from just the 1st boss. Not sure what else I am supposed to be doing with the shops, I just sell everything. Not gear, just the body parts. Made like 65k in 2 hours. I really cant wait to see the rest of this game.

I lied about picking up BoF:DQ again. And I'll have VP2 this week, so who knows when that'll happen. Anyways, I on a whim (and because I'm hyped up for PSU) picked back up my game of PSO on the GC. I finished the rest of the quests for Episode 1 (never did that before), and tore through Episode 2, beating Olga Flow at level 32 and about 45-50 hours of gameplay total for getting through all of that. And played more Okami, now at
Code:
Moon Cave to face Orochi
and a bit under 20 hours. I'd think I was near the end of the game, but it's falling to the RPG cliche of
Code:
having unexplored areas in the world despite reaching what would seem to be the climax of the story, thus showing the game obviously continues on afterwards.

YES! I finally beat Osu! Tatake! Ouendan! on Very Hard mode. This might be my proudest gaming accomplishment ever. And now I never want to hear Ready, Steady, Go again. Still, I love this game to bit and can't wait for Elite Beat Agents to be released. I hope they can make it as great as Ouendan, despite being heavily Americanized. After all, a lot of the charm of Ouendan is that it's so delightfully japanese.

I played a whole bunch more of Okami over the weekend:
Code:
I saved Sei-an City, met with the queen, bloomed (not a verb) all the cherry blossoms, upgraded the inferno technique, got the Cat paw technique, and now I am looking for the whirlpool to get to the Dragonian lands (although I have a feeling that it's in the sky after talking to this dude on the North Ryoshima beach). I figure I might try to go back around the world and catch up on the wanted lists, upgrade other brush techs, and etc. before progressing with the story.

I also picked up Phoenix Wright again after overdosing on it and getting slightly bored of the indirect character control and I am almost finished with the third case.

A friend of mine thought it would be a good idea to bring over her copy of DDR: Supernova Friday night so needless to say I danced my ass off for a few hours.  Saturday morning, however, my legs were a bit stiff...at first.  The rest of the day I was in horrible pain and could barely walk.  Just goes to show that I need more exercise.  That game is the shit though I must say.  Played it for a few hours again on Sunday.

I snagged a copy of Galactic Civilizations II - despite being an Indy game, it's the best 4X game I've played in recent years, aside from Civ IV.

Heh, I miss playing DDR. I can't play the home version though, I don't like it when the pads move around. Strictly arcade for me. I remember hogging the Supernova machine at uhh.. Gameworks? In Vegas, that one arcade next to the M&M factory. I hadn't played DDR for years, and the day after, my legs were in serious pain.

I miss having huge bulbous calves.

Code:
I couldn't save the egg.  :(  So now I guess I can fly everywhere.

48 hours in Final Fantasy XII and I'm almost done with the main storyline. Hell of a bizarre plot twist near the end.

I'm only finished with a miniscule number of sidequests though, since they require ridiculous levels to achieve easily.

I've sort of been tossing around Disgaea 2 and Valkyrie Profile 2 the past couple of days. I'm hoping that I'll be able to finish up VP2 tomorrow, so I'll be able to start up Tales of the Abyss or Devil Summoner the following day (I can drop Disgaea 2 at any time, since I'm just doing the extra junk).

Valkyrie Profile 2 - 41 hours
Code:
Just finished up Yggdrassil, and am about to head into some sort of palace in Asgard. There's this one damn treasure in Yggdrassil that I couldn't get, and being a perfectionist (in this game, at least), I'm bummed that I couldn't figure out how to get it. Ah well, that's what faqs are for.

Disgaea 2 - 60 hours
Code:
I can't seem to get enough of this game. Right now I'm just powerleveling my characters like crazy so I can tackle the item/dark worlds, and find some more sidequests that I can do.

I already got Flonne, and now I'm really wanting Laharl on my side. Gosh, I love that guy.

Dusted off my Beatmania controller and played that for an hour. I can finally consistently beat V on Hyper mode. My left arm was starting to cramp though so I stopped. I also put all the games I've been playing on hold (not liking XS2 or Grandia, Stella Deus disc decided to stop working)and started up a new game of DQ8. I'm about 12 hours in and I'm liking it so far. I didn't know this game would be very heavy on exploration. It really does feel I'm on this super long journey with the huge overworld map. Anyway I

Code:
just reached Pickham. I saved, then lost all my gold at the casino. Good thing I could just turn off the game and get all my money back! :D Stupid bingo.

I played a bit more Okami, and
Code:
killed Orochi, then headed to the City.

With this, VP2 soon, PSU's beta on Wednesday, and Contact arriving in stores when that ends... Yup. BoF:DQ's way back on the back burner.

Edit: FUCK. Didn't notice that until now.
