The history of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is now so complicated that every time I tell it I contradict myself, and whenever I do get it right I'm misquoted. So the publication of this omnibus edition seemed like a good opportunity to set the record straight--or at least firmly crooked.

I usually don't go past 1:30 - 2 :00 hours, even if I have nothing better to do. I usually just get tired and end up not enjoying it as much.
If the game is in a really good moment I can stretch it to 3 hours. Rarely I go beyond this point, the exceptions are games which I find to be amazing or at least have a mechanic to keep me hooked and loose track of time.

Example: Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy Tactics, SW: Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout 3, Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect 2, Stella Deus, Valkyria Chronicles, Disgaea 1 & 2, Valkyrie Profile 2.
Noticeable is the amount of SRPGs, like I said, not all of those I think are amazing, but at least have a mechanic that kept me hooked for hours on end.

I usually play between 30 minutes and 2 hours, ocassionally stretching it to 3 hours if it's really engrossing. The only recorded exceptions to that are Shining Force and Final Fantasy 6, which I played for 5 hours each on my initial session, and Etrian Odyssey and The Dark Spire, which I played for 6 hours each. Obviously quality does not play a factor in the length of my play sessions. The longest I ever played a game was when I made a bet with my friend that I could play and beat Dragon Warrior in one night. I started at 7 PM and played it non-stop until I got to the final dungeon at 7 AM, when I finally passed out.

I typically play in one hour intervals to give my eyes a rest between games since it's sort of recommended during said playtime, unless I'm in a spot where I can't perma-save easily, in which case it can go for up to somewhere over two hours, for example, if I'm grinding in the Item World in the Disgaea games.
