By the looks of it, it looks like ResEvil-style walking.  You turn and THEN you run... or do a bit of it together.

The game really needs some in-between frames to help some of that choppiness. I mean, I realize what they're doing is a lot of work, but so is any 2D fighting game.

Well apparently namco bandai is the publisher so I seriously doubt they'd bring it over anyway since they suck

Think of Ninja Theory, before that name they were known as "Just add monsters" and made the horrible XBOX game "Kung Fu Chaos" then their next project would be my favorite PS3 game so far Heavenly Swordand now they are doing the DMC game. my point is that this game could be the developers first hit tittle.

I never dug it.  I saw this fucked up hentai where human-animal dudes used their really long tails to penetrate the chick with the 3 tails at once.

Luminous arc is decent but not great.  I beat LA2 and played a little of LA1.  The combat in LA2 is solid but nothing special, just normal SRPG stuff.  Story was pretty weak.

Now you know what I've been waiting for.

But this isn't the punchline yet. This is just a bit of dumb fanservicy fluff. The real punchline I believe will be when Toki/Towa are revealed to be largely irrelevant to the plot in comparison to The Prince. Kinda like how Midgar was in FFVII.
