I didn't play 5 so I'm just going to ask a quick question. Does 5 have online co-op?

Yes, RE 5 has online co-op. It was really what made RE5 playable, because the standard partner A.I. for Sheva is abysmal.

I'm so hyped for the trailer! RE is one of my favorite gaming franchises, even if RE5 wasn't nearly as good as RE4 I still liked it a lot!

From earlier leaks, it seems like Ada will be getting her own separate mission that will unlock after completing the main story, a la 4RE.

I see three distinct styles/tones in the trailer.

-Leon in an old school, spooky zombie-filled environment (yay!)
-Chris using cover and fighting gonados like RE5 (boo!)
-Some Wesker-like dude kicking zombie ass with fists of fury (interesting...)

Let's hope the co-op isn't nearly as forced as 5.

You know, I wonder if they are going to separate scenarios with those styles during the actual gameplay. Chris might have the action-oriented missions and Leon will have the old-school horror scenarios. I actually wouldn't mind that very much.

I didn't notice that this year there was going to be so much Resident Evil to look forward to until I saw 3 threads here, the news of RE6 in Siliconera and in NeoGAF. Pretty crazy if you ask me.

With that said, I'm not much of a Resident Evil fan outside of RE3 and 4 to be honest (never touched the second game if I recall correctly), and having enjoyed a lot of REZero and REmake casually when they were released to later being genuinely disappointed with RE5 and Code Veronica I really don't know what to expect from this even the trailer was the coolest thing ever.

One thing is for certain though, I have no expectations for RE6 and is better to keep it like that.

I hate capcom. They keep fucking Megaman square in the ass, but RE still makes me hard. This is a good year for RE games. I hope you guys will attempt coop runs, as I will gladly play with anyone here.

Pretty excited about this.  It's good to see co-op supported again - I've played through RE5 a number of times with a friend and this is exactly what we need.
