Kumi Tanioka doing performance is great news. I heard her do some piano performance at FFXI FanFest '08 (her own unique arrangements, never recorded anywhere). Very very good stuff.

Interesting insight I just put together after talking with Jayson from OSV about this album.

That artwork? That's not Noir or Weiss. That's Grimoire RUBRUM. It's a boss you fight in the haunted mansion, and according to NieR's wiki, one difference between Rubrum and the other Grimoires is that *Rubrum cannot speak*

Considering NieR's music is known so well for its vocals, and this is a purely instrumental (non-vocal) album, what a fitting choice to put Rubrum, minor character though she may be, on the front cover.

Also, this is in the mail. I can't wait to get this CD.
