I tried the Fortune Summoners demo during my Xmas break and enjoyed it.  That comes out in a few days, according to the Carpe Fulgur site.

Anyone else curious about Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom at all?

I saw this, but have been able to find just about zero information about it.

Know any details?

About which game, Lard?  Fortune Summoners or Hakuoki?

And as for Pandora's Tower, it's a Wii RPG exclusive so that already ramps up anticipation factor, especially for the userbase.  After all, console exclusivity is a rarity these days.  Even if it doesn't turn out great, it's not the first time a game garners great anticipation but doesn't quite deliver.  Hellgate London and Alpha Protocol are two examples of games that were highly anticipated and earned E3 awards, but ended up being disappointments to players and critics alike.

St. Anger was a hotly anticipated album and we all know how much it sucked.

I didn't see a thread on this post yet, so I make it.

http://www.rpgfan.com/features/Most_Anticipated_Games_2012/index.html

It's pretty exhaustive from my perspective, minus one notable game: Good People Die (999 Sequel) should be a no-brainer for "localization hopefuls"

With you 100% there.  I watched the intro sequence with english subtitles, really hope we get to experience the nonary game ambidex in the US this year.  999 was one of the most enjoyable (albeit depressing) experiences i've had in gaming.

I'll care if Good People Die turns out to be a better sequel to 999 than Remember 11 did for Ever 17 that way I'll finally get to play a fitting sequel to Ever 17.

Nobody has mentioned Of orcs and Men here. Not much info out on it or just looks so-so.

Risen was a laughing stock but, Risen 2 looks better. Any news on those two?

My review is up.  I liked it a lot more than I expected to.

I thought Risen on PC was great, though it did feel too much like a rehash of Gothic 1&2. The Xbox 360 port wasn't supposed to be very good, but the PC version certainly wasn't a laughing stock. The console versions of Risen 2 are still being farmed out to another developer (Wizarbox), but Piranha Bytes are helping develop them parallel to the PC version so they should be somewhat improved.
