Translating Artsy assholes

I need help for a paper I'm writing.  I feel it's the key to understanding some piece of crappy modern art, but I don't understand this sentence...

I hate when people write like that:

The medium of the "art" lacks specificity and is modular in nature, plasticiZing (or changing ) the way the piece of shit is interpreted.

Is sort of my take

A piece that is awkward because of the way it adapts to its surroundings in such a manner that it is pointless to apply concrete definition, changing the way people interpret pieces.

That's about the gist of what my mum and I could piece together after a few slow re-readings heh.

We think we also understood that it was hard to really finalize any sort of "end-meaning", I think (I may be off)

I lost count at eight.  At least eight prepositional phrases in one sentence.  I don't know who the fuck wrote that, but I certainly hope they don't consider themselves a professional writer.
