We've known about this for a while, but since I didn't see a thread I thought it best to finally make one. Crimson Shroud is Matsuno's new 3DS game and is pretty much his take on western tabletop RPGs all the way down to physically rolling the dice. Matsuno has previously worked on games like Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together and Final Fantasy Tactics. While there was a thread made for all four of the games mentioned in Level 5's Guild-1 collection this game in of itself didn't have a thread of its own.
That said, the closest thing to an analogy that I can come up with for this game would be the RPG Maker game Ruina: Fairy Tale of Forgotten Ruins, although far more gamebook than RPG.

It's not a tactics game, so I can safely ignore the Matsuno fanboy worship.
It's an 'old school' dungeons and dragons style RPG with dice rolls.

Also there are other games involved in this Guild 01 game collection including what appears to be Suda 51's attempt at giving a rail shooter Metal Wolf Chaos's plot (though unfortunately less ironically not-American than MWC was).

Anyway, this bit of news is not about Crimson Shroud but Guild 01 has a demo of Time Travelers that can be unlocked if you clear certain conditions. It has nothing to do with not being badass guy. It has everything to do with telling me absolutely nothing about the games inside the package, or even catching my attention. It just doesn't do its job as a cover.
