Fear Effect 2 is a prequel, so you can play it first, but you'll appreciate some elements more if you played FE1 before it.
Blagh yeah I hope I can pick up a copy sometime.
Anyone ever play a game called Treasures of the Deep? That thing freaked me out bad. I also have copies of Adventures of Lomax, Kingsley's Adventure, and Swagman I keep meaning to play.
Oh, are we considering Monster Rancher 2 to be an RPG? I adore that game, but it's kind of on the line between RPG and... virtual pet so not sure how to class it.
MDK, btw, was the first videogame I bought after going away to college :}

I have a big ol' nostalgia engorged heart for Crash. Those games were a lot of fun, but I haven't touched them since I was 10, so I have no idea how they are now.
I also recommend Medieval, despite being clunky. I loved the cartoonish dark fantasy world. The sequel is pretty good too.
Clock Tower. The first one for the PSX. This game is pretty old, and the controls are awful (point and click using the PSX controller), but it is a genuinely creepy game. Similar to Amnesia, it's a survival horror game, except you don't actually fight the killer, you have to run and hide and hope it doesn't find you. The thing that makes this one the best is that the killer's music doesn't play until after he just kicked the door open, scaring you shitless. The one for the PS2 had the music precede the killer, which ruined the suspense.
Anyone else remember Gex? All I remember was the platforming made me feel stupid, and I thought the games were funny.

I'm trying to remember an old ass ps1 game that was set in a Victorian London that had a very dark and gritty sort of jack the ripper thing going on. It was a 3rd person almost over the shoulder action title and I think you played some awesome sort of priest. Your weapon was a two handed staff or scepter and I think you had a firearm as well.
that was a fun game, and I played it years later and thought it held up as long as you have a stomach for early 3d.
I think you fought some sort of weird creatures / demons.

I bought that out of nostalgia a while back. It doesn't hold up well.

Nightmare Creatures got sort of mixed reviews when it was new even, iirc, and was always kind of divisive.
I also can't find my copy of Jumping Flash 1 which is pissing me off a bit.
Anyway seeing as how the shitty goddamn business trip ended, Imma hit up the used game stores in Columbus and see what they got. And hope my hotel fee reimbursement check comes through soon.
