I kinda enjoyed those episodes for what they were. I agree with most fans that it could've been waaaay more subtle, but still, it was pretty cool as just a straight up character analysis and therapy session. EoE, though, felt like they were trolling the pretty much the entire movie...

To it's credit The End of Evangelion is one those movies that you'll probably watch one time in your life and the images and scenes are going to stick with you for the rest of your life. If that's good thing or not it depends by person.

That movie has side effects bro.

I know what you mean. And I watched it 3 times! (only finished it the final time, though)

Also I recommend Hajime no Ippo/Fighting Spirit. Animu about boxing, has some nice music.

My favorite manga is Initial D.

Up to the Project D arc, anyway. I think it loses emotion at that point.

Sailor Moon is purely timeless. Serial Experiments Lain,  too(bias).

Watched Lupin III - Castle of Cagliostro today. Watched the dub for the first time with David Hayter (Metal Gear?) and was suprised at how good it was.

My only complaint is that everyone pronounced his name as "Loop-On"

I avoid online multiplayer because my brain still works.

I haven't seen the anime, but the manga's ****ing fantastic.  Took me weeks to catch up when I started it up a few years ago - was around ~800 chapters back then, now it's in the high 900s.

And just to say it here: my favorite manga of all time are Slam Dunk, Monster, Great Teacher Onizuka, and One Piece.  100% class.

Read 20th Century Boys now.

That is all.
Thoren: Astronomers fucking love stars and shit. Whitman was a bitch.
Hidoshi: Walt Whitman could beat you with both dicks tied behind his back.

I did a few years ago. I like Monster and Billy Bat better.

Agreed.  Honestly I thought 20th Century Boys was pretty weak.  Interesting concept, but too drawn out and there was so much retcon'ing (How many times can you go, "Oh, remember that guy who was totally our close friend but we never mentioned even once before now in all our flashbacks...turns out he's important now all of the sudden").  It got really convoluted towards the end, too.

Monster is great, though.

I'm still working through it, so maybe I'll be wrong. Up to volume 12 has been great.

It's good, but I still don't totally understand the ending (when ****2 turns out to be ????).  Monster got better and better with timeskips and new characters, but 20th Century Boys got more and more confusing.

I enjoy sports manga more than most, so once upon a time I tried to track down one of Urasawa's older series: Yawara! Fashionable Judo Girl.  I found the first 10-12 volumes translated, but the translation team was long since disbanded.  Pretty good series, too.  I was disappointed I didn't get to finish it.  Maybe I should look it up again....

And I should mention: I barely ever watch anime.  I've always liked cartoons and comics, but manga is faster, cheaper, easier, and (most of the time) better.  The only anime I'll watch are adaptations of my absolute favorite series, or personal recommendations from friends.  From my last few years of college up to the present, I read hundreds of manga chapters per year, but maybe 20-30 anime episodes per year.
