Well, it's true!

I understand when people get worked up over something that's a serious issue or whatever, but not over something as insignificant as this. I mean, yeah she said some stupid stuff, but to then go after her like some people have... I really just don't get it. I've seen this sort of thing before on the internet many times, but my brain and emotional responses simply do not function in a way where that sort of behaviour crosses my mind. Maybe I'm too sheltered. :P
You have to realize that these clowns are the epitome of first world douchebags, who only care about something if it affects them directly and expect the world to cater to their every whim.

I wrote a blog post about this. Not the fight, but the statements that enraged segments of the Internet. That being the "combat-fast-forward" option. My answer: Jennifer Hepler and BioWare should make a visual novel. And it would be glorious.

I'm kind of amazed that in all the talk about the 'revolutionary' idea of fast-forwarding combat; no one seems to have mentioned Gust already implemented and perfected this idea in Mana Khemia.

For those who haven't played it:

Basically enemies show up on the field and it's ye basic 'touch and fight' system. However unlike similar games such as Persona 3/4 and XIII-2; the enemies are color-coded relative to how strong they are vs your party level. Once they reach a certain color, all you have to do is strike the first and they poof on the battle screen without even having to go into the combat sequence.

Aka: Fast-forwarding/skipping the pointless combats while keeping the challenging ones.

Hepler may be a cow with a vagina and a game industry job that she "may" have gotten for something other than her writing skills, but hey, why get mad. I'm sure she goes home at night and enjoys whichever way of the sexual stratum she lays with at night, and probably has a much better lifestyle than most of the 20-something year old internet nerds who can't even use their parents basements anymore due to the lack of progress in life they make.

"Oh hey guys, I just left a message on that fat bitch's twitter page calling her a fat bitch, I'm so badass!"
Said the 32 year old from his spiderman themed desk he had from gradeschool 20 years ago with an underside that resembles one of the aliens in men in black exploding there and leaving a white goo trail on everything, with a bed that has a large groove from the 28 years he's been sleeping ALONE in it as well as his ninja turtle sheets. Sure it's unacceptable behavior, but what can you expect? These people are not really people, they are useless fucks who have no merit in society except furthering the unemployment rate and giving internet security comapnies something to charge money for. Sad state of the world though, when the lonely nerds of the internet call out a woman in the game industry. Guess they want to die virgins.

I'll +1 this.  I'd give a Bioware visual novel written by Hepler a shot, rage-inducing character retcons and all.  Although I also have to agree with Parn that her infamous 1-liner is going to be damn near impossible to top.  And D. tnegA's internerds who'll die with their virginities will angrily rant on the web about how sex is overrated and that they're doing the world a favor by not adding to the population growth crisis that will probably deplete all the world's natural resources in 50 years (which is why they'll only eat artificial food wrapped in plastic.)  The Planet's dyin' Cloud!

Working at a game store, I say yes to these.  Fuckin hell yes.
Spesh' #6. :P

HOWEVER.  I think the family-oriented gaming was a big miss, IMO.  I see parents trying to nab "educational" games, and that makes me wanna LOL in front of them.
