The history of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is now so complicated that every time I tell it I contradict myself, and whenever I do get it right I'm misquoted. So the publication of this omnibus edition seemed like a good opportunity to set the record straight--or at least firmly crooked.

I'm not sure if the Xbox 360 is region free or not, basically.

The games cost so damn much, it would be a lot cheaper if I could just import NTSC copies. Dead Rising looks like a fun game, but £50 is just too damn much.

It depends on the games. Some of them are region free, while others aren't. Videogamesplus.ca's weblog usually does a pretty good job of pointing out what game is region free and what isn't.

Thanks a lot, Cauton. Sadly it turns out that Dead Rising isn't region free. Looks I'll be waiting a little while until I get it cheaper pre-owned.
