I have played a lot of tales games...this one has the most enjoyable win quotes. Sophie is hillarious.

The next week one with malik had me peeing.

I love how he just doesn't respond at all. xD

I love the "all male" victory as well.

Can't forget the incredibly uncoordinated one as well.

Edit: Is it girlie of me that I like the intro song? Fuck it, I like it.

I don't like it myself (I...just don't think BoA has a nice voice =/  It's a sappy-ass tune too).  BUT.  I *adore* the end credits instrumental version of it -- it's perfect.

Even my pet rabbit likes that one. Opening song? Ran around the room thumping, frustrated I didn't get myself to safety. Ending song? Sat sideways on the couch with his little ears straight up so he could see and hear better. My bunny has a good taste in music :D Then he went back to eating the furniture.

I'd squeal in real life if I saw that.  That's so cute. x)

It's funny cuz I was thinking that when I saw a peach in the game too.

So I just finished the main story last night, and I gotta sag, the battle system threw me off for a while, and the story was a bit cheesy, but the experience was great. Hands down the best characters in a tales game, outside Richard who realy creeped me out at times (his asbel adoration was borderline stalker). I'm probably a bit out there for my opinion, but the humor is what kept me interested. Between the skits, pascal in general, and the hilarious winquotes, I truly loved every minute of the exploration and sidequest venturing. Even the battle system grew on me, though I hate the dualizing and tempering weapons shit. I was using Bryce's Knuckles on Sophie for 70% of the game, cuz nothing else gave her better power. Then I realized when I started to use her that she had no CC compared to asbel who had like 25 at max. Now I use a weapon with half the attack stats and double the max cc. Talk about frustrating.

Just started Lineage and Legacies, which is apparently almost as long as the actual game. Accel mode hasn't impressed me yet, outside a quick way to restore CC for asbel.

The Tales series is about the only JRPPG series left anymore I bother playing. And I don't play many of those due to not knowing if they are truly new games or remakes or spinoffs. I ordered this, should be here tomorrow. Finally get to dust the ole PS3 off and use it for something. lol

I'm surprised we've had no mention of Ayesha... shame, cuz it sounds like it got rid of the crappier parts of the Arland [?] series.

Is that really surprising?  Ayesha didn't come out that long ago and NISA typically takes a year or more to localize.  It's not like we had heard anything on Meruru this time last year either.

BTW, what were the crappy parts of the Arland series?

Or rather which crappy parts, since I find it hard to believe that they could take out all of it without removing what made the series what it was in the first place...

Maybe she meant to say creepy rather than crappy, I have to admit a huge chunk of my interest is simply the fact the protagonist is not barely a teenager this time around.

And I think we got confirmation it'll come here, but not much more than that.

I played the game start to finished this week and wrote a review on my blog with opinions.

Adding to the review I just wrote, while playing Graces I compare it much to Star Ocean 4. While I think Graces is better by a long shot it also has a lot of the shortcomings SO4 has.
The story and characters are so lifeless. You really have to make an effort to care for the plot at all.

Also quickly comparing it with Nier which I played recently, which also has its problems but has amazing soundtrack and voice acting, makes it so much easier for you to care for the world and characters.

In all, I don't regret playing it, maybe just until the end but when I saw there wasn't much left to do, I decided to force a bit just to finish the game and if anything it made me more excited for Tales of Xillia, which I hear has better everything.

been playing this on and off and its easy to see why the wii version wasnt localized by nintendo. its got tons of sexual inuendo as well as suggestions about pascal's sexuality.
