I would buy an Outlaw Star game with a DMC-style engine in a heartbeat.

That's about it though.

Wow, did even half the replies to this topic pertain to its aim at all?...... Anyhoo...

Fine then. If I had to pick something it would most likely be a Magical Girl Crossover SRPG in preferably an SRW style. And Queen's Gate doesn't count (too many fighting game girls).

Basically, I want to see who's beam spam befriends/nudifies the most. (Not to say that it couldn't borrow some inspiration from Queen's Gate or Blade.)

Actually it's in both parts of Z2. The difference is that Z2-1 covers the show up to the time skip whereas Z2-2 covers the movies because GL goes insane in both scale and power by the end.

Soul Eater game that is using Dynasty Warriors or Devil May Cry gameplay.Either one.

Also a Claymore game that is like Demons Souls, bleak atmospheres with slow tactical sword fighting.

Hey, the anime was actually pretty good up until the non ending. I mean you could actually tell characters apart which is the biggest issue with the manga.

But they have made, tons of them and according to fans they are really good!
The last one released here was Sakura Wars So Long My Love. It is made by Sega, the team that made Valkyria Chronicles.

Hathen was being sarcastic, Farron.  Total tongue in cheek there.  I'd post a joke response, but everyone else's have been better.  LOL at the idea of La Blue Girl, Lady Blue, or Urotsukidoji RPGs.  I'm surprised none of the jokesters mentioned the Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals anime.

So here's an actual response.  GUNNM- Martian Memory was a Playstation action-RPG based on the GUNNM/Battle Angel Alita manga and it was reportedly a pretty good game.  I'm a big GUNNM fan (though I still have yet to read the Last Order mangas) and though 95% of license-based games are terrible, hearing that this one was good piques my interest.  Admittedly, I'm surprised I liked the Naruto: Path of the Ninja games as much as I did.  I did not expect them to be good, but they were a lot better than I expected.

Hakuoki might be worth a mention.  It was a game before it was an anime and it is quite good.  I hear the anime series is solid too.  Hourglass of Summer- incredible game, terrible anime.

Obviously because FFV's cast isn't as popular as FFIV's cast so no After Years for it.

That said, another comes to mind. I remember around the turn of the millennium there was this OVA called Legend of the Fire Emblem. It followed this Prince named Mars who was putting together an army to fight a dragon, and though it looked a little bland and didn't seem to get very far but maybe in game form it could get the ending it never had. Though I doubt that it would make for a good JRPG as the cast size was pretty large by the time it ended but maybe as an SRPG it might just work as those tend to handle large casts pretty well.

But for something recent a game based on that Persona anime from a few years ago might be interesting, even if the anime wasn't well liked.
