Well, it's nice that they put the images on their site and all, but quite frankly, I don't want to wait two days just to see images of Elizabeth in play simply because I literally have no access to their magazine.

well, Idea factory can come up with the ideas... just stay the hell away from the executions. Idea factory comes up with great concepts and ideas. It is just that everything else ends up mediocre or a train wreck.

It's scary that Siliconera has an extremely devout IF defense force.
In fact, that's the only place I know that has one.

Sometimes i'm surprised that Level-5 still does.

Well, Level-5 still has a pedigree at least. It's falling fast, but hey.

On the one hand I do feel like as long as they have somebody competent holding the reins Level-5 is capable of doing some amazing things. On the other hand it feels like when left to their own devices they'll pull crap like this.

As for the topic matter at hand I would like to see Sting take a crack at some of the ideas that IF comes up with and either make them work or make them byzantine as hell (while also still making them work).

Gamefaqs does as well. The amount of rage over my review of Agarest War was unbelievable. They can't really hold a candle to FFT/TO and X-Com fans, though.

The more I think about this and the more it feels completely senseless.
It's like Burger King and Pizza Hut merging.
Sure, they're both in the fast food industry... but they just aren't anything alike =/
Are we going to get burgers or pizza? or burzza?

Welp. This is exactly the opposite of what I was hoping for. At least we don't have to worry about it cluttering up bargain bins.

I'd be more annoyed by this statement if it weren't for the fact it seriously does kill localization potential for a lot of stuff.

I like my PSP.

It helps if you learn Japanese...

Well, either Japan's fault for not moving on, or our fault for not embracing the PSP more.
(If you ask me, SCEA should've stopped marketing the PSP to 'Marcus' and embraced the RPG audience and went after them instead.)

Generation of Chaos is pretty much IF's best SRPG series.  The older ones at least were much better than their newer games, with true strategy and lack of grinding. That's not to say it's a brilliant SRPG, but it's unquestionably better than their recent offerings.

This game might be better than expected, given this is one series that IF actually has a solid background with.

If you gave me an IF property and told me to make an SRPG, I'd pick Hakuoki.

Sakura Wars style. You know it'd be awesome.
