Why do they give the blood type?

It's a Japanese cultural thing.  Blood type "supposedly" gives some insight to their personality traits.

Pretty...I dunno, I guess unorthodox opening?  Very simple, kinda lovely.  ...it also sounds like a lot of commercials we're getting up here in Canaderr-eh.

It's very different from past games.

This is not a bad thing.  You can definitely tell they're going for a change in theme and atmosphere.

Wow, IIRC and between Famitsu's grade, that's a new high for the series.

Please NISA. I know I ignored the Arland series (save Totori, which I traded in a week later), but please consider this series!

Oh, that is such good news. Getting the ending you wanted was such a pain in the Arland trilogy. A walkthrough was 100% required.

You can say that again... I just totally went waaay out of my way on my playthrough for a sterk ending and ended up with cordelia... I was sure I met all the requirements... I honestly don't know how it happened... well actually yea i do..... I didn't use a guide... thats what happened-LoL

So apparently NISA confirmed that they are localizing this at Anime Expo, although there are zero details at this point.  Wait a few months.

Here's a link, but it's as he says, no details.

Finally a bit of news on the western release.... so its coming but they don't know who is providing it?.... This confuses me a bit as I didn't know the designing team behind a game switching hands had anything to do with who localizes it and by the same token I also thought the publisher was a different question entirely....

No matter, in truth none of those details are relevant to me.... what is relevant is the projected "rumor release date" of early march conflicting with hyperdimension V...... and just watch, Tales of Xilia will come out within a month or two of both of the aforementioned titles to ensure my brain explodes and i have to set up a payment arrangement with the electric company to fund my gaming habbit-LoL

Who's 'they'?  I certainly hope the publisher knows who's publishing it, they just haven't announced it yet.

It's quite relevant when a developer is acquired by a company that already has their own localization and publishing branch.  It's only natural they would want to keep things in-house.  On the other hand, NISA already has quite a bit of experience working on these games and a good relationship with Gust (or so it seems, anyway...despite Ar Tonelico II...).  I'm certainly interested in how Tecmo wants to treat this property, though.  It's pretty niche in the west.

Tecmo Koei distributed the games for a long time in the US anyway, I think maybe only the first Atelier Iris was an exception. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the changes were more superficial than anything else, IE throwing Tecmo Koei's logo on the front instead of NISA's (or alongside it) while NISA still handles localization.
