Can someone explain that acetaminophen + alcohol issue?  You need to eat like 10,000 mg of it to be harmful on its own, which no one would do accidentally.  I never really paid attention to the "..or if you consume 3 or more alcoholic beverages a day" warning... how bad is it really?

I mean, Oprah said to take acetaminophen (or was it Aspirin?) before crashing, so that you are all good by the time you wake up.

It just seems like nothing is ever as bad as the warning.  Also, I heard the liver fully regenerates after 15 years of sobriety... surely alcohol isn't the only thing that is bad for the liver...

For normal peeps with reasonable drinking habits you really don't have much to worry about. having 2 pills after some drinks once every now and then won't really do permanent harm. actually acetaminophen overdose is one of the most common causes of liver damage/failure because a toxic dose is around 4000g depending on ... well the person.

that gets lowered in the case of alcohol because the liver can only metabolize so much at a time. The liver can regenerate greatly, but I'm not sure if it can from cirrhosis in any level. Once the scar tissue is there, it's there.

It's IPA week at the Taphouse Grill. So the wife and I went down and had happy hour......for 5 hours. I'm hammered right now. She drove obviously.

Started with a Bear Republic "Racer 5 IPA" (http://bearrepublic.com/home.php) which is probably my fave right now, then followed it up with a Georgetown "Lucielle" (http://www.georgetownbeer.com/) and then had to hit up the good ole Dogfish Head 120min IPA (http://www.dogfish.com) and then I forget, but I know we spent $92.00 (not including tip) on happy hour.

Yeah....I'm hammered, but I have a new class in the morning and I want to start the morning "Hi, I'm Todd Jaynes, welcome to the company, I am hungover as balls." Tends to make a nice first impression with a bunch of new hires.
