Apparently this is continuing Falcom's tradition of not letting any series possess a numeral past 8 by divorcing it from the Legend of Heroes line proper (as well as making its lineage all the more confusing and convoluted).

As for the thread's name, that was a joke based on the cues this game seems to be borrowing from the Zelda series (as well as Navi's voice actress (fyi the alternative would've been to put 'Hey Listen! Trails of Nayuta discussion inside' as the thread title and even I know not to go for such low hanging fruit) as well as the four seasons motif from Oracle of Seasons) rather than mistakenly linking it to the Legend of Heroes series.

I will be all over XSeed if they ever reach this far.  I'm interested in the alleged look away from turn-based combat.

And yeah, changing the seasons at will can be interesting.  Lord knows I loved the fuck out of the Zelda Oracle series.

Given it's a side-story and an ARPG, I can see XSEED getting to this relatively quickly.

There's always a DD release, which Xseed has become increasingly less shy about (And maybe we'll be surprised and that path has long term viability?), or they'll make an updated Vita port for international release. Especially good if this ends up with serious camera control rather than being like Ys Seven.

Edit: One thing of note is that one of the top of the pics in the battle screens link does have a female PC with a hair style similar to Navi's but she seems much taller compared to Navi in the pic right beside that one. Mystery Character? Transformation? FU-SION-HA!?

IIRC, dev team said they developed boss battles first, yeah?
Certainly seems to show...  Looks interesting to say the least.  I wanna shout "ZELDA COMPETITOR", but I might make someone mad and all "NUH UH, ZELDZ IS DA BREst!!!" or however fans talk.

Whatever, I liked watching that demo more than fighting Imprisoned 3x.
