See my signature. I think I have about 85 in my backlog.

This. Backloggery is great, everyone should use it to keep track of games they have but haven't gotten around to beating.

My backlog of unplayed games is ... disturbing.

Recently finished the epilogue missions of Red Dead Redemption.  Absolutely fantastic.  Gonna start Persona 3 FES next.

Backlog update.

Current Backlog
Mass Effect
Grandia II
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Red Dead Redemption
Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Persona 3 FES

Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue
Final Fantasy XII

Persona 3 and Red Dead Redemption were stellar.  Could go on and on about those two.  Star Ocean 2 was pretty good, but I feel that its plot and environments didn't live up to the fun battle system and skill system.

Deathspank 2 is basically just like the first one, but a little bigger and better.  I think it'll be the end of my Deathspank career when I beat it, though.  FF XII is solid so far, about 10-11 hours in.

With the availability of cheap games and accessible game sales I'm sure I'm not the only one with a mountain of games yet unplayed. Thanks to amazon's tendency to have games marked down as much as 30 bux w/in months of release, and gamestop coupons I have a yeoman's work ahead of me.

Here's my current gen backlog
360:
dead island
deadly premonition
bulletstorm
Bioshock 1 and 2
Dead Space 2
Call of Duty World at War
Saints Row 3rd
Rayman: O
Infinite Undiscovery
Mirrors Edge
Nier not going to finish it. too repetitive. loved the bosses though.
Ass Creed 2 playing on PS3
Gears of War 2
Witcher 2

PS3
Dead Rising 2
Infamous beat it
El Shaddai lost my patience on last boss, decided it wasn't worth it
Folklore
Darksiders
Hunted
Dark Souls
LoTR: War in da Nort
Vanquish
Two Worlds 2 sucks too hard
Graces
Uncharted 2: Electric Sploojaloo beat it
Deus: Ex

new purchases:
arkham city
heavy rain

Even though that looks ridiculous I'm still sitting on a 50% completion rate for current gen (not handhelds).

I hould have amalur wrapped up this weekend. I want to max out my levels

I use Backloggery, too. I have approximately 800 games that are unfinished. I'd guesimate that at least a quarter of them are RPGs. I have a very long way to go...

Update

Current Backlog
Radiant Historia
Mass Effect
Grandia II
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Red Dead Redemption
Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Persona 3 FES
Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue
Final Fantasy XII
Super Mario Galaxy

Valkyria Chronicles
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I'm torn about FF XII.  There are lots of cool ideas in place, and I was having a ****ing blast for the first 20-30 hours.  Then the frustrations and nitpicks started piling up, the story took several weird, abrupt turns, and in the end I felt like I had played a game of wasted potential.  I wish it was less broken and more fleshed out.

DeathSpank 2 was meh.  I mean, it was funny, but uninteresting from a design perspective and sometimes it was too silly/puerile.  Liked the ending, though.

Super Mario Galaxy was ****ing awesome.  I haven't enjoyed a Mario game this much in a LONG damn time.  Best game I've played on the Wii, and totally worth a revisit for additional stars down the line.

In the *very* early stages of Twilight Princess right now, which seems to be a game about herding goats and walking behind pregnant women slowly.  Hopefully it picks up.  Valkyria Chronicles is in my PS3, but I haven't fired it up yet.  I will soon.  Probably.

Brand new update + threadcromancy

Current Backlog
Radiant Historia
Mass Effect
Grandia II
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Red Dead Redemption
Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Persona 3 FES
Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue
Final Fantasy XII
Super Mario Galaxy
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi
Rogue Galaxy
Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana

Valkyria Chronicles
Okami (HD)

I liked Rogue Galaxy well enough, but Atelier Iris had fewer strengths and seemed pretty by-the-numbers.  Okami is technically a backlogged game (I own it on PS2), but I bought the HD version for looks, no disc, wireless controller, and trophies.  That and Valkyria will probably close out my 2012.

I ended up beating 16 backlogged games last year (ones from previous post).  Here's my current backlog status:

Current Backlog
Persona 4
Pokemon White Version 2
Hexyz Force
Psychonauts
Tales of Vesperia

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I got *really* slowed down this year by replays of Persona 3: FES and Persona 4: Regular.  I beat Vesperia... around 90 minutes ago.  Next I'll (finally) try to beat an Elder Scrolls game for the first time, and after that I don't know.  Probably something for the Gamecube or Wii.

FF Tactics, start of chapter 4, going back to this soonish probably, may start over since it was a few years ago - frustrating

Crisis Core, Nibelheim, going back to this soonish maybe - pretty fun

Persona 3 the Answer, definitely going to start this over since I gave up several years ago - I like it better as a dungeon crawler than DDS

Nier, beat the first ending a few months ago, gonna go back soon - Yoda: this game is not even remotely repetitive unless you're trying to do (almost) everything in one playthrough, solid action game and top notch in everything else

Digital Devil Saga 2, beat #1 and near endgame of 2 but holding off because I feel like killing hordes of enemies - a bit too preachy at times, and that encounter rate is dumb but it is really impressive

Sengoku Basara 3, first Ieyasu ending, I'm surprised it was so well told having grown up with Devil Kings and that came off as being minimalistic - excellent action and creative mission design
