I'm getting this! Guardian Heroes was a blast and it's been far too long since I've played side-scroller style game. I think the last one I played was Lady Sia for the GBA.

Was Lady Sia any good?
Anyways, I was really hoping to pre-prder this, but I fear I may not be able to afford to pick it up day one.
EDIT: Nevermind, it comes out in October! I just might be able to pick it up then.

If this game is anything like guardian heroes then I am very excited. That character art though... I am just not so sure... I mean the actual sprite work is beautiful, but the actual designs.. yikes.

This looks like good fun. If it was on a vita I'd buy a vita and this and wait for P4 and other games. Since it's on a system with a shitty dpad and one analog button fuck it. No thanks *unless another 3ds redesign comes*

Our review should be up by the end of the week.
Short: It's Guardian Heroes 2.

If the game is being reviewed here why isn't this thread in the RPG section? Not that it matters much I'm just a bit confused...

I thought this was just a hack 'n slash game. Does it combine RPG elements into the game play?

If its Guardian Heroes 2, then yes.
The question though is if its better than Guardian Heroes Advanced?

You know what, unfortunately I'm ill equipped to answer that question since I never played GHA.

guardian heroes advanced was bad. the point of the game was to form a link between guardian heroes and gunstar heroes and the result was medicore.
