While covered by RPGFan, I really dunno the best place to put a graphic adventure thread. I'll throw this here for now and let the mods decide whether being here or in console RPGs is best.

Anyone interested in this? It's sounding like a LucasArts graphic adventure in gameplay, so that's won me over.

I'm not sure what game your talking about, as I think it might be getting a different name over here. I could just be being stupid of course.

If this is the game I think it is, it looks pretty cool.

Hell yeah I want this game.  I already pre-ordered and paid it off.  I've been looking forward to this game for a long time.  It was brought to my attention many moons ago on an adventure game forum that I lurk in.  I was immediately impressed by the art style plus I had just finished Phoenix Wright and was hankering for an adventure game on the DS.  Someone on the forums started an online petition which I belive I signed.  He lived in Japan and was going to take it to the makers of the game to show that there was a potential audience for the game outside of Japan.  I don't know if that had anything to do with it being localized.  I'm just glad it is coming out here.  Thank you Atlus.

Well...if nothing else, I downright love the art style. I'm tempted to get the gme purely for that reason alone.
If it also happens to be good, then I'd be almost obligated to pick it up.

What game were you thinking about?  Was it Hotel Dusk:  Room 215?  I'm definitely picking that game up too.

That sounds like the one. Both look really good, I'll almost certainly pick up one of the two.

Wow.  I'm pretty impressed that the DS is a bastion for graphic adventures.

I just got a used normal (not lite) DS for a good price and am waiting for Contact.  Looks like I'll have more games to pick up for it too (Touch Detective, Hotel Dusk)

I think my DS will have more than paid for itself.

If you haven't already, take a look at Phoenix Wright (dur) and Trace Memory. You've heard all the praise for Phoenix Wright by now, I'm sure, but I haven't heard as much commotion with Trace Memory... Though I still have to get it myself, admittedly. But it's $20 now, so hey.

I should pick up Trace Memory.  Phoenix Wright is really f'n difficult for me to find these days, but there's a new Phoenix Wright coming out next year, though, so I won't miss out again.

Heh, it was only recently I got some money to play with to get a DS in the first place.  Serendipitous.

They've been reprinting Phoenix Wright, so a bit of looking around online should net you a copy. Worse comes to worse, the japanese version has the full english translation in it, so you can just import from NCSX or Play-Asia.

I just picked up a cheap used copy of Trace Memory and so far it's f'n awesome.

Touch Detective, Hotel Dusk, and Phoenix Wright: And Justice for All should be next on my list.  (Yeah, and Contact; I already preordered that one.)

Trace Memory is a good game.  I remember starting it up and I thought it was so cool her b-day was the same day as mine.  Yeah, at the time I didn't realize it uses the info you put into your DS to get the b-day. >_<

Oh yeah, check around for everything so you don't miss anything.  I think there are two endings for the game.  If you do a half-ass job, which I don't think you will do, you'll get the bad ending.

Scores aren't sounding good so far - EGM gave it a 6.5/3.5/5.5. I admittedly have been hearing that EGM's being tougher on game scores, but even then, a 3.5 score's never good news. I'll wait and read full blown reviews and commentary from you folks, though.
