You're just being cryptic again. It's like soap opera sex. Lots of boring dialogue and when they finally do go to bed, everything's dark and covered by blankets.

http://www.siliconera.com/2012/06/12/next-zelda-remake-on-3ds-could-either-be-majoras-mask-or-a-link-to-the-past/

I think the lil' nerd in me just creamed her pants a little.

I don't mind either, but I think ALttP would be a way more impressive accomplishment.  But of course, thoughts of, "fuck it, do both" are running mad too.

Man, I'd put it as "or". Still, LttP could be more interesting, while MM easier.

Tried to avoid lengthening the title so did the slashy-mc-slash-slash and added a question mark.

Shame they're still in "thinking" stages".

Pretty much everyone commenting on this today around the internet has been like "OMG PICK MM." Which, in my opinion, is an incredibly stupid statement.

Remaking MM would be fantastic, and I'd certainly buy it but, just like OoT 3D, wouldn't be much different to me pulling out my N64 and playing it. Remaking ALttP, on the other hand (a game from 1993, if I remember right) would be epic. Think of the vast upgrades and improvements it would get.

Well, it depends on what they do, and how drastic. If it's a 3D Classics... may as well do it first, but only because it seems like it'd be stupidly quick and easy. If it's a 2D (as in sprite based) remake then maybe a whole new game in that style would be nicer, and if it's 3D (as in polygonal)... well, that'd be very interesting to see.

Depends on who develops too, I imagine the 3D Classics route would mean you could just have Grezzo do MM in the meantime, or if a fullblown 3D remake involves EAD, in which case Grezzo's STILL available for MM.

I'd like a LttP-remake that had the same character questing-depth that MM did.
Most of the NPCs in Link to the Past felt like they were either gypsies, monsters, thieves, or flat out pains-in-the-asses that called for knights 'cuz you're a wanted man.

Hmm, that's a good point. If they just did a 3D Classics version of it, I'd be less interested.

If they do do an aLttP remake I'd like it very much if they forgo adding in all those obnoxious hi-yahs like they did in the GBA port.

Link to the Past doesn't really need a remake, the game is fine as it is.

Well, I didn't really like MM very much, so I would definitely prefer they do LTTP. I hated the whole timed aspect of MM. I can't stand being rushed or pressured into getting things done in a set amount of time.
Plus, I'd really like to see what they could do with LTTP. Yggdrasil is right in that the game is just fine as it is, but I'd still like to see what a "modernized" version would look and play.

I wouldn't mind an 'easy mode" for MM... the timer paranoid the hell out of me.

Agreed. The only time games should be remade is what we get for Ico, Metal Gear, etc with HD ports. About all you could do w/ LttP is some bad 3d effect to a 2D game or change to 3d environments.

Pass on all this.

MM is the obvious choice. They already did OoT so it makes sense to follow that up with its sequel. Plus, LttP doesn't need a facelift quite as much as MM because SNES 2D ages far better than N64 titles. Besides, didn't LttP have a GBA port which should be playable on the DS, as well as being on Nintendo VC?

I'd only play the Majora's Mask remake if they ditched the annoying elements of that particular title, and I would take a Link to the Past remake with a grain of salt since the original is one of my favorite Zeldas and one of those games that shouldn't be remade.

Personally I would love to see a re-imagined LttP...... really upgraded and adorned with whatever current-gen bells and whistles they could manage.... that however will not happen.... MM will be out WAY before anything happens with LttP and when something does happen with LttP, I am will to bet, it will be a simple re-release with some additional connectivity function we can't yet wrap our heads around... Hoping for a truly re-built LttP is like waiting for a re-make of FF6... everyone knows it could kick some serious ass but will probably never happen for many of the reasons already mentioned..
