Yes, not exactly from the mouth of the creator, and if you read a few of the paragraphs before the final "confirmation", it has been delayed and such for 7 years. However, with names like Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson...I am crossing every appendage I can cross without great pain.

Cmon, Sammy J. plays a numbrr of good roles, with a wide variety of characters. Look at his character in Pulp Fiction, he was a bad mothafuckin' hit man. How about Die Hard 3, bad mothafuckin' locksmith. Snakes on a plane, bad mothafucking' policeman. All the marvel movies, bad mothafuckin' cyclops...I mean secret agent. Samuel Jackson has a wide repetoire of different bad mothafuckers in his filmography.

I'm surprised that there isn't already a real life Robocop since we've already got the shithole Detroit and the evil conglomerates both in control and responsible for Detroit's shithole-ification. Of course we already have drones so I guess cybernetic law enforcement is kind of a moot point anyways.
