I didn't see it there ....but it would stand to reason that it is (or is on the way) .... seeing as how I just shelled out 160 bucks for a copy about a month or two ago.... can't imagine we all missed it though so I don't think it is on yet

Was Jade Cocoon any guy? Buybacks had a copy but they like, closed down last week.
Of the games you got, I think Grandia 1 is fantastic and like it a lot more than 2. I never got very far in Vagrant Story but it seems cool. Parasite Eve 1 plays kind of like a simplified (in a good way) Vagrant Story set in the modern era.
Xenogears is odd. The gameplay isn't particularly... good, and the battle system is based around this elaborate combo system which adds absolutely nothing to the game. The story also is... a thing. But I definitely would recommend playing it, because it is important.
Imma throw out some recommends for:
- SaGa Frontier
- Brave Fencer Musashi
- Shadow Tower. Or anything King's Field, really, tho I think Shadow Tower is the best.
- Wild Arms 1 and 2.
- Legend of Mana (It's really easy, but has like, my favorite setting and story from any Square game).
- Granstream Saga
- Guardian's Crusade
- Star Ocean 2
Oh and Valkyrie Profile but that probably causes a million dollars.

My apologies, it's still only the first one. Thought I saw it there recently.

Since Aha
Just thought I'd mention this, but the Megaman Legend games are quite RPGish -- 2 moreso than 1, I guess --, the PSX Harvest Moon game was arguably the best one, and, while they're not traditional RPGs, I used to love my some Monster Rancher 2.
@ the guy below me: I actually love DW7 but I'm hesitant to recommend it because it is really slow. I'd love a retranslation though. The one it got is really stilted, but the stories in the game tend to be pretty cool. If you do get it though, don't grind. That ends up hurting you in the long run, and isn't necessary anyway.

If you have mighty, mighty patience, then Dragon Warrior VII is worth a look. I say Warrior because that's the only way you can play it in English legitimately.
...And I'm a little surprised at Square-Enix. Why haven't we seen a DQ VII remake yet? It's been 10 years! PSV, 3DS, take your pick!

How are the kings field games? I can get them for pretty cheap and i know they are by the same guys that made the soul games so thats got me interested. Guardian Crusade is also pretty cheap and looks interesting.
I also have a psp and valkyrie profile is pretty cheap on that, does the ps1 version have anything the psp one does not? That has always been a series I have been interested in.

King's Field is kind of slow (The PSX ones aren't as slow as KFIV on the PS2), but they're really atmospheric and fun to explore and fairly challenging. And creepy. Especially Shadow Tower. Shadow Tower is kind of horrifying.
Anyway, when I say slow, most of the games have fairly slow walk speeds. This is a mechanic and intentional and forces you to pace yourself in combat. KF4 goes a little overboard with it. Shadow Tower had the best feel to me in this sense -- you can't dart about so you need to be careful in combat, but regular point A to point B stuff is quick enough.

With today's technology they just might be able to fit that 100+ hour game onto a handheld and in a reasonable format.

Wild Arms 2 is my favorite in the series, but I am biased in favor of witch protagonists.

Technically, it's up to five and has a remake of the first, as well as a side game, XF.
If you ever want to expand your video game horizons, try a gamefaqs genre search. Pick a system, genre, and just browse til you see a name that looks interesting.
