There's one thing that's been bothering me since the official site first went up, and has finally become relevant, was that prior to today's update, at the bottom of any given character's page was a bar that scrolled horizontally and provided direct links to the respective character's page represented by said character's portrait. What I had noticed about this bar was that the number of available panels never changed and always maintained a fixed number of available slots as it were. And with today's announcement, that bar is now completely full. If I'm correct, then there will be no Antony/Issac/Ghirahim/etc. showing up down the road and any other returning characters will be hidden unlockables (like Ganondorf, Falco, Ness, and so on). That is not to say that there aren't any new hidden characters, but I don't think it will be possible to know prior to the 3DS version's release.

Look at this guy. Look at how wrong he is. This guy is full of shit and doesn't know what he's talking about.

Now here's somebody who knows what's up.

Edit: And you EUs can have a special edition 3DS while the rest of us get to play around with our Classic Modes and Difficulty Sliders.

Blech. I think that 3ds looks really gaudy, honestly.

Waiting for what? He's already in the game. Hell, he's been around since Brawl.

I think the 3DS is one of those systems that looks way better in action than in a screenshot.  Most things do.  But I agree.

Seeing the difficulty slider made me think of some other type of design habits Team Sakurai has.

You know, the more I see of these things, the more I want to see the next SSB game go totally hogwild on these things.

Hell, we might even see the return of Dr. Mario between this and the modifiable move set feature.

Edit to the Post: Any chance of a playable Ghirahim just went down the tube. On the other hand, Ghirahim is now confirmed to be making an appearance (as an assist trophy).

So unless there's a Toon Zelda in the works, the only playable Zelda rep we can expect to see now is Ganondorf.

Love the addition of Alt Samus outfits (I hate her Zero Suit to be honest, it's like a blue-bubblegum condom).

So a leak happened the other day (and a shitload of others in the wake of said leak). At first I blew it off like any rational person would but after browsing around for a bit, I found this....

....which means that the following is also something I'm willing to put money on (linked in case somebody wants to remain spoiler free):

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=878858

Code: [Select]
Shulk is in, also Ganondorf, also also Duck Hunt Dog (but that one was something I didn't predict), also also also all 7 Koopa Kids as Bowser Jr. alts. The only guy I'm still waiting for is Athony and something's telling me that he's not getting in (also, still no playable Issac).

The other important note is that this still doesn't cover everybody in the game, so Ice Climber's return isn't entirely off the table/locked to DLC.
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

Anyways, I already got like five characters I want to main.... of the newest fighters.  I'm super excited for this.  I am worried about the 3DS networking to play online though.  It's good, but hardly pefect.

Looks like I'll be rolling triple blue... Game and Watch, Sonic, and Megaman. Plus Shulk, if he's in, since Nintendo hates me and couldn't add Isaac instead.

@Dice: A chicken? ...I don't get it. :|

---

The trailer for Shulk was released. I'm pretty sure you guys will not have problems in finding it so I willl not link it.

I've never touched Xenoblade but he seems alright as a fighting game character. Is good that there's manservice with his alt. that way idiots will stop crying about the Zero Suit and Samus' alt.

Also, after all these years I've related 'Shulk' with The Hulk, but it sounds more like a nickname for She-Hulk.

I'm so happy..... :D
SO HAPPY. I think it's finally time I preordered too. I'm just worried, is anyone getting the WiiU one at all?? I feel like everyone is on the the 3DS.

Also, Dunban was on the Smash art...another character or art fire arts sake (probably the latter, but that's cool too)?

I love nintendo directs
