Judge declares NYPD use of "Stop & Frisk" unconstitutional. Well, no shit. It's a clear violation of civil rights. I'd be irate if that happened to me.

Btw, no man should ever attack another man's jewels. You just don't do that.... Unless you're playing roshambo.

Exactly.  It's a clear abuse of a more basic policy known as the "tort search", which is intended to allow police for search for weapons on people they come into contact with while on the job for their own safety.  It was never intended to be used for police to harass random people.

Some people call it stop and frisk, I call it "free and legal prostitution."

So uh, New Zealand has an obesity problem. What is their solution?

Deport the fat people.

Personally I find this kind of hilarious.

I like how the NSA keeps getting caught with their pants in the cookie jar and nobody's willing to call them out on it.

So the US and a few allied nations (like England) are in positions to do a surgical missile strike on Syria because of the use of chemical weapons on its own people.  Was it Asaad who used the chemical weapons or was it the rebel forces?  And there doesn't seem to be a follow through to the plan of "pull the pin off this grenade and throw"  If there's no follow through to the strike, then whatever message is being sent is hollow at best.  And it doesn't help that Syria has backing from China, Russia, and Iran so any US/Briton strike will turn into a debacle.

And it seems off the coast of Canada, large populations of herring are bleeding from the gills (which happens when there's a lack of oxygen in the water) and their eyes.  One of the going theories is that the Fukishima fallout's already contaminated waters this far.  Other theories say that it's not Fukushima alone, but the combination over the years/decades/maybe centuries of water pollution through drilling, dumping, fracking, etc.  So, if the level of damage being reported is not an exaggeration, we're potentially seeing what could eventually become a large scale contamination of a big chunk of our food supply.  We humans have such a weird relationship with the ocean.  It's our pantry AND our toilet.

But who cares about all of that when we Americans can all hypocritically shout righteous indignation over Hannah Montana grinding her patootie all up in Beetlejuice's business.  Because, after all, THAT is the top news story nowadays.

At first, I thought you were referring to this guy:

And I was thinking: "I gotta see this.".  ...Of course, I was not correct.

Yeah, this business in Syria is doubly troubling, due to chemical weapons actually being used and the American reaction to it. Americans consistently whine about oppression, well I say they wouldn't know oppression if it sodomized them with a searing hot knife.
