Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time hits PSP / PSN on July 31st!

This is probably the last psp game we are getting over here right? makes me sad since it takes any chance of seeing trails in the sky part 2 come over here go away.. well maybe on steam? but I don't game on computers at all :(

I don't see how the existence of this game in any way effects the probability of getting TitS: SC.  Mind you, the odds of that were already quite dismal.  But that doesn't have anything to do with Growlanser.

Well, as someone who left Crisis Core running just to listen to The Burdened, I admit it is easier when you have it running on a game and not youtube.

No, not the very last.  Aksys has confirmed they are bringing over "Ragnarok Tactics" over this Fall.  NISA is supposedly publishing a PSN-only version of Black Rock Shooter (but they say they cannot give a release date yet). 

It's also quite possible that Atlus will localize the remake of Persona 2: Eternal Punishment.   And all of us Growlanser fans are hoping that Wayfarer of Time sells well enough to convince Atlus to bring over Growlanser I remake (which came out in 2009 but was passed up for some reason).

Shame Atlus USA hasn't given anyone who isn't a Growlanser fan much reason to care, but ah well. We'll make up the slack.

Just to clarify the Jp version has battle voices wich the US version probably wont have. I will make more soon.

There's no word on whether or not the US version will at least keep battle quips. I hope so.


Also, supposedly a certain RPG site got themselves a review copy... I expect good things!

From what I've gathered, the battle system of Wayfarer of Time is most similar to Growlanser III's, with some tweaks and new features (limit abilities).

I'll probably get it when it goes down to 20 bucks in a year or so. Unless everyone's raving about it when it comes out, then I may spring for it. My backlog's big enough, and I don't feel like spending 40 bucks on a PSP game, especially when I can get a Vita game for that same price.

Yep, I've seen it on sale for as low as $27 (w/ free shipping) on some sites over the past few months.  Buy.com currently has it for $28.99

Also, don't forget that since it's an Atlus title being released near the end of the PSP's lifespan, the print run is likely to be very small and it could become scarce.  In which case you won't see a price drop any time soon.
