From some of the things I read, it's merely an upscaled version of the iPhone game, S-E just wants that extra $2 so they locked people out of using the iPhone version on the iPad. To be fair, the graphical transfer from DS to iPhone seems to be an amazing job, but they sold the iPad version on the basis of HD graphics and art, which it does not have, aside from the images that appear before you start the game.
