Yeah, I'd wait for BbS HD. It's arguably the best game in the series (certainly my favorite), so a prettified version would be great.

Okay, I was thinking BBS was the prequel, but the prequel is included in 1.5 isn't it?

Duh, stupid question, wasn't thinking.

I'm getting 1.5 out of some sort of weird loyalty to the game series with character from Disney favorites...but I really didn't care for it.  KH2 and BBS will both likely be on the 2.5, and THAT will TOTALLY be worth getting even if it's a full pricetag.

What's included is a sequel to KH1 that serves as a bridge between it an KH2, along with a video covering the events from another KH game set in between the two.

The other reason to not worry too much is that the games are all kind of convoluted. Just play the stuff on the disc in order then worry about this crap.

1.5 is KH1, the between game Chain of Memories (between 1 and 2), and the cutscenes for 358, which is a sort of prequel to 2.

BbS is a prequel to all of the games, but I'd argue it's more effective if played after KH2.

Because of plot spoilers or general understanding of what's going on?

Well, in terms of like, plot developments having resonance and stuff. But yeah, general understanding ,etc. You COULD play it before 1 and 2, but I think the big "plot twists" have the best impact if you're familiar with all of the characters and stuff from 1 and 2.

EDIT:

Also because of plot spoilers.

It's kind of like MGS3 in that regard I'd think (and from what I spoiled myself on): You COULD play it ahead of the rest, but it's something you'd be appreciate when "going back" after the prior installments rather than jumping to first THEN moving on.

That's an excellent way to explain it, thanks.

I don't want to sound ungrateful, I'm glad this came out, but... I hate the way this packaging is. It's jutting out of my shelf, it's way bigger than your average PS3 case, the disc is in the art book. Kind of wish the disc had been in a separate PS3 case with the art book had been it's own thing.

Can't wait to play it though.

It's probably one of the worst artbooks ever too. I would have paid extra if it meant an actual book.

I wasn't expecting anything from the artbook, so I was actually pleasantly surprised in the end. And the case fits just fine with my FFXIII-2 CE case. I was actually debating cancelling my preorder since I have no idea when I'm going to get around to playing it (again) but I only owed another $15 on it so I decided to go ahead and pick it up, and I'm happy I did.
