Nomura: The two titles that are included as games will have trophy support. We intend to include an extensive range of trophies, from the more orthodox to ones that won't go down easily. "According to Nomura, development on Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix, Square Enix's upcoming HD remaster of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories announced at this year's Tokyo Game Show, was decided before Final Fantasy X HD, which has kept quiet since its Tokyo Game Show 2011 announcement.

The high-definition work on Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix was made possible by the great efforts of two programmers from Square Enix's Osaka team over the course of a year. The Osaka team is basically unchanged, and it's thanks to them that Kingdom Hearts has continued to progress. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix's development is in its final stages."

And that's why FFX is taking so much time. He also talks a little bit about other projects:

・The World Ends With You is a personal favorite. He wants to broaden it, but right now hopes that people can enjoy the iOS version.

・His work on Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is finished. He drew the costumes for Lightning and Snow.

"Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix is approximately 80 to 90 percent complete, series co-director Tai Yasue said during a Weekly Famitsu feature on next-generation game development. The development team is investigating the addition of special elements to the clear time, according to the co-director.

Yasue also echoed Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura's previous confirmation: there will not be a secret movie."

Huh, wonder if that means the US version'll have Japanese VA for once. Or if they'd be crazy and cut that, I'd love to hear the justification for that (I'd hope it's licensing issues rather than the comment with FFXIII baffled that non-Japanese might actually want the Japanese voice track.)

... Not that I'd want something like that outside of a few instances of novelty. We're talking DISNEY here, it's not right if I'm not playing with the English VA.

Given we're talking about two games that were released before hand and one that is a prequel that can be ignored, no, you shouldn't be.

Though once you do get spoiled you'd probably stop caring anyway, so I'd just run with this anyway.

Yeah, chronologically, you should play KH1, Chain of Memories, and then KH2, so you'd really be playing things in the order you're supposed to. Although if you watch the 358/2 Days cutscenes, I think that might spoil some KH2 stuff for you. Then you can play Birth by Sleep and then stop paying attention because the plot becomes a fuckmire by Dream Drop Distance.
