To a point, their policies make sense, to prevent lazy ports, but when their policies affect something that never had the original release here cough*Devil Summoner*cough, they're being far to picky about it. They should make exceptions for things that are out of print or otherwise very difficult to get as well.

I also think it's bad form to make it inconsistent across regions. It's one thing if Japan and Europe shared this policy, but when something is ok there only for SCEA to go "nope"? It's especially bad given how many people do clamor for PSP games on PS3, I find it kind of annoying to see the PSP blown off but a lot of people really would be happy just playing these games either as is or with graphical updates on PS3, so at least a digital release should be allowed.

They... they couldn't fit the whole first trilogy onto a PS3 disc?
Well, at any rate, it'd be cool if they did the whole series and XSeed could snag them. Would certainly add to the reasons for me to buy that new PS3 model.

They can make more selling them piecemeal. Don't forget that each NES Megaman game came to PS1 individually in Japan, at least Trails in the Sky gives you plenty for, what, $45 or $50 worth of yen?
SCEA would likely take the other extreme and simply bare it from retail release at all and keep the PSN price down to $20 or something.

The image that the box art uses is the same one that
one of the CD drama has
. That illustration is for FC, maybe if Falcom releases a remastered version of SC they'll use
this one
that was also used in one CD drama and the box set for the PSP games that was sold in Japan.
Also,

That one is nice, wish it was widescreen though. This one isn't, but I always get a laugh out of game companies who release wallpapers with max resolutions of 800x600 in this day and age.

Arg. I waited for the longest time to pick up this game. I recently purchased and downloaded the game for my PS Vita while I was on vacation in Europe the last two weeks in Sept.. Ah well. The game still looks great, it's just the menu text that appears a little fuzzy in the PSP download. Thanks Yggdrasil for the comparison screens.
