Good import games for PS3/PSP/DS?
«

So since I am going to Japan this week, I am going to do some shopping.
Anyone have any suggestions on good import games for PSP/PS3/DS?
So far I can think of......
Retro Game Master 2
Final Fantasy 3 (has English apparently)
Aquanauts Holiday
Tokyo Jungle
Echochrome 1/2
Forbidden Siren
Anything else?

I don't know if this is just Lard being anti-digital, but three of the things listed there (FF3, Echochrome, Tokyo Jungle) are available on PSN. I'm fairly certain you have a US account.
As for import-friendly games:
Osu! Tatake! Ouendan! (DS, We got a version of this as Elite Beat Agents. Ouendan has Jpop)
Tales of Vs. (PSP)
Sengoku Basara HD Collection (PS3)
I know people are very fond of the Hatsune Miku games, too.

Tokyo Jungle
Is available on PSN for $15. So unless you see it on sale, it's probably not worth it.

The Super Robot Taisen Z2 games.
Seriously. If you've played Original Generation 1 or 2, you'll be pretty set with these ones. They're fun games all their own, too.

Final Fantasy 3 (has English apparently)
But FFIII was already released out here on the DS years ago.
That said, grab Queen's Blade+Gate (PSP). :v
If you meant to write 3DS in the title, grab Senran Kagura Burst; don't bother with Senran Kagura 1 since that's been included and updated in Burst. :V

I'd forgotten about the Basara collection, thanks. Didn't know about Ouenden either.
Echochrome got an English release but Echochrome 2 is a PS3/Move release. I don't think it's on PSN at all. And FF3 and Tokyo Jungle I'm not being anti digital about. Just that I have an opportunity to buy some discs, so I'm going to take it.

Sakura Taisen 1&2 Compilation for PSP. GameFAQS has translation FAQs for most of both games content.

Jump Ultimate Stars is great fun on DS. Kinda like Smash Bros, but with Shonen Jump anime characters.
Tales of Hearts, but obviously that is text heavy.
Project Diva on PSP is good fun if you like rhythm. No JP required aside from menus.

I love the Project Diva games but not everyone is into vocaloids so I guess I hesitate to recommend it to people unless they know what they're getting into.
If you're willing work your way through a lot of Japanese cutscenes (not all voiced, but at least the big plot stuff is), Valkyria Chronicles 3 is the best game in the series, in my opinion. It plays basically like 2 did, so at least that part shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
If you want something a little different, Idolmaster 2 (for PS3) is worth a look. No, really, at its core it's a fairly challenging management simulation game, though it also has rhythm game and visual novel components. Most of the game can be done without knowing much Japanese, though it's definitely an issue in the visual novel segments...
